I do not have a bad word to say about this place. The service was first class. The food was amazing, and the wine and cocktails that followed were outstanding. Thank you to everyone the front of house to the chefs, you all made my day.

This restaurant offers fine dining and some of the dishes were just that - but not enough of them. The service was mixed - our sommelier/ waiter was top notch and knew his stuff - particularly on the drinks side; our other waiter didn't seem to be on top of the content of the dishes. We had the tasting menu.... More

Dined here recently for the first time. The waiter seemed to be on another planet. We chose from the pre-theatre menu and he didn't take our menus away after we had ordered. He then had to return to ask us which menu we had ordered from and still didn't take menus with him. This then prompted another waiter to ask... More

The food is absolutely top quality, this is fine dining at it's best. If you don't like fine dining then this is not for you, stick to your pub grub (nothing wrong with that in my opinion), but this is eating at a higher level. Well worth it and the service is top class. Knowledgable, unobtrusive waiters. Treat yourselves.

Dined here for 2 nights while I stayed in hotel. food very good and well presented, had bass on a bed or rice and then corn feed chicken served on a slate with chorizo. You do need to have a couple of courses to be full. Chocolate pudding is to die for

Came here for the exquisite 7-course taster menu with wine. Everything was lovely, nice thin glasses, polished cutlery and a starched napkin set us up for a night of opulence in the restaurant. Every course and wine was explained in detail. Being the only table in needless to say the service was flawless!

We were a lunch party of 14 celebrating a colleague's 60th Birthday. Travelling from all over Scotland , the day took some organising but Abstact certainly played its part in ensuring a great day was had by all. The Manager, Ben and his whole team were superb - polite , efficient, knowledgeable and able. We had drinks on arrival in... More
