Found this to be a really well put-together tasting menu with quality food. Although the matched wines were nothing fantastic they certainly didn't take away from the food. Everyone who served us was extremely polite and professional although the service was a tad slow at times. Would make this your first choice if you're looking for an Inverness restaurant. Especially... More

We had the tasting menu and overall really enjoyed it although we did feel that there were some elements that didn't quite work, perhaps a case of trying too hard? The service was great, as was the atmosphere, and we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

We dined here last night after a long day exploring the area, what else would you expect from a 3 Rosset establishment, good wine selection, (un fortunately I couldnt have pinot noir by the glass) great tasting flavours on the plate, we both had pigeon and veal with was melt in the mouth stuff, topped off with strawberrys and basil,... Late September we were invited to a Golden Wedding Surprise Party for 50 guests. It was held in the annex conservatory overlooking the moonlit River Ness. Magically lit trees and illuminated bridges added to the ambience.. The special table settings and the presentation of the meal was flawless. Ben and his staff conducted a professionally run evening. The starter onion... More

After searching for a tasting menu close enough for us to sample without having to stay some where overnight we decided on The Abstract as it rated so highly on here. Living in the Scottish Highlands they aren't common meaning we drove 50 minutes through to Inverness. When we arrived and was taken to our table and I commented to... More

We ate here in October and had quite simply the best eating experience ever. My wife and I opted for Abstract for our anniversary treat as we were in Inverness staying for a few days, We decided on the tasting menu and went for the wine tasting option as well, while not cheap (£55 for food and £25 for wine... My dinner at Abstract was outstanding in every way. The excellent dishes were each imaginatively presented and the service was flawless. Maybe some will view the price point as a little high, but considering the quality of the food, the restaurant is actually a good value.

Couple of small issues, had a very nice dinner and drinks recently, not a fan of deconstructed desserts. The pear trifle with the cubes of jelly does not work. Although, my wife only mentioned this and it was removed from the bill, so fair play on that one. I ordered the cheese board, now either the waiter didn't know what... More

I have eaten in Abstract on numerous occasions since it first opened. It has always aspired to deliver Michelin quality food and give customers a top class experience. In my view it has always succeeded. On my most recent visit they had revamped the offer so all of four of us were obliged to take the tasting menu but we... More
