Open since 1995, the simple cooking and warm, friendly atmosphere has allowed The Mustard Seed to become one of Inverness’s favourite restaurants. The Location on the banks of the River Ness in a converted church building is simply stunning and helps create the wonderful ambience. The transformation from disused church to restaurant created a unique space; with a double-height ceiling and magnificent open log fire. Many of the original period features were retained and combined with a mix of natural and modern finishes. The addition of the terrace on the top floor allows alfresco dining and uninterrupted views of the River, another amazing asset for the restaurant.

I eat here regularly and I like it.. good food, great atmosphere and terrific value. However the last time I was there I was pretty disappointed with the food, which was inconsistent in its quality and the service which was not great. Staff clearly not trained properly and making mistakes, particularity with the wine list where they seemed lost ..I... More

My partner and I went here for our Valentines meal and it was too good! I had the black pudding in breadcrumbs with garlic mayo for starter - decent portion and yummy! (Although I have had nicer black pudding (Ritchies Aultbea) but still delish!) For my main I had pork belly with mash, mustard sauce and apple - to die... More

Had a fabulous meal with fabulous service, nothing to dislike. Ate from their specials board, the venison was beautiful.

Had dinner here on Sunday night. Despite it being very busy the staff were friendly and efficient. The young team are an absolute credit to the establishment! The food was really good, and a brilliant price on the early evening menu. I would highly recommend it, but make sure you book first.

Went here prior to a show, they do an evening menu at £11.95 for two courses, to say it is value for money would be an understatement , the food is superb , the staff are just as good, and it is very warm and welcoming . They also do specials ,and there night menu so you have plenty of... More

We had lunch with friends & the experience was very good - the staff were very attentive & there were 8 of us together at a lovely round table which made it easier for us all to chat rather than a long table. The food was excellent & the value for money amazing.

I visited as part of a large party on a meal out prior to a 2 day conference in Inverness. We had prebooked, but our party must have been close to 50 people, and I have to say the staff at Mustard Seed coped fabulously. The meal was great, although my steak was a little tough. The service in this... More

The lunch menu was £7.95 for two courses so I didn't expect much but was very surprised that the quality of the food was excellent. The portions were not large but ample as two courses. The staff were friendly and very efficient. I will be back.

We walked from our B&B to downtown Inverness... Got lost twice... But locals on the street recommended the Mustard Seed... We were not disappointed... The atmosphere was great... Service was attentive... Food was excellent... It's been a few months since we were there, so I forgot what I had, but my wife had salmon... Awesome...
