Description: Open since 1995, the simple cooking and warm, friendly atmosphere has allowed The Mustard Seed to become one of Inverness’s favourite restaurants. The Location on the banks of the River Ness in a converted church building is simply stunning and helps create the wonderful ambience. The transformation from disused church to restaurant created a unique space; with a double-height ceiling and magnificent open log fire. Many of the original period features were retained and combined with a mix of natural and modern finishes. The addition of the terrace on the top floor allows alfresco dining and uninterrupted views of the River, another amazing asset for the restaurant.

We were visitors to inverness and decided to dine here as a birthday occasion as all of the other top restaurants in inverness are closed on Sunday's!! The restaurant is a lovely location and building! We went for the pre theatre menu and it was great value and an enjoyable meal with delicious wine and cocktails! We ordered fries which... More

We were told about this restaurant by friends, very happy we took their advice. Popular venue so we could only get a late night booking (so some of the specials were gone) but the standard menu has something for all tastes anyway. Will be back

Visited this restaurant recently with a business colleague and had a really good lunch. The waitress throughout was extremely helpful, quietly attentive but without being intrusive and from the outset, made us feel most welcome. We were given just the right amount of time to peruse the menu while the drinks arrived and we both opted for just a starter... More

My family and I had just had a big fight after getting lost and going to two wrong restaurants (I forgot where I had made reservations). By the time we got there, we were hungry and angry but Fraser, our server took great care of us and settled us down very well. Many (11) Hendricks and tonics and Bunnahanhains later,... More

Was recommended this restaurant by a friend - was in Inverness on the 17th and went for lunch. Cannot recommend this restaurant more highly, the service, food, feel and layout of the restaurant was impeccable. I particularly enjoyed the haggis & rocket salad, the smoked haddock and potato cake and the ocean trout. Will go back again for lunch and... More

We went here for our one week anniversary. I had called ahead to arrange for a bottle bubbly and was pleased that this had been put in place and we were congratulated on our arrival. The food was excellent. The staff friendly and attentive without being overwhelming.

Good price, nice atmosphere. They do a good 2 course lunch and 2 course pre-theatre meal, changing the menu every Thursday for a decent price. Only downside is the choice for main meal-2 fish dishes, 1 vegetarian dish, 1 chicken dish and 1 more, like sausage or ham etc. you can also pay a bit extra for steak, there's more... More

I really enjoyed the restaurant. The service was excellent and I was sat beside the fire which was cosy. The food was delicious and well presented. I did find a bit noisy, but there were a couple of parties going on. It is definitely a place I would go back to
