Description: Open since 1995, the simple cooking and warm, friendly atmosphere has allowed The Mustard Seed to become one of Inverness’s favourite restaurants. The Location on the banks of the River Ness in a converted church building is simply stunning and helps create the wonderful ambience. The transformation from disused church to restaurant created a unique space; with a double-height ceiling and magnificent open log fire. Many of the original period features were retained and combined with a mix of natural and modern finishes. The addition of the terrace on the top floor allows alfresco dining and uninterrupted views of the River, another amazing asset for the restaurant.

Went to the Mustard Seed today for lunch. They were offering two courses for £7.95 really impressed with the quality of food and service of the staff who were very attentive and of course the price was exceptional. Would defiantly return to the Mustard Seed again on my next visit to inverness.

This is one of the best places to eat in Inverness. The food is top class and the prices are extremely reasonable for the price you pay. I had lobster thermidor and I just didn't want it to end. In the winter they have a fire on and it makes the place really cosy. The staff are very friendly and... More

Arrived at The Mustard Seed and was greeted by Alina. We had no reservation and they were booked. Alina offered to check with their sister restaurant across the way, but being our last night in Inverness, I expressed my disappointment. She went above and beyond to work us in. Wow. Food was fabulous, atmosphere was trendy, our server Elina was... More

Tried to get a table at dinner time on Sat. Had to book for Sunday instead. Great local food. "Early bird" menu with good choices. Food very tasty. Service was friendly and very attentive. WE sat upstairs and had a nice view of the river. Strongly recommend but call ahead to reserve.

I have visited many of the group's associated restaurants and they all hit the spot - a good building, friendly professional staff, quality food and exceptional value for money. The Mustard Seed may even top the lot. Excellent haggis bon bons followed by the casserole for my wife and a variation on chicken tikka. Carafe of good house white and... More

One of the best meals we had in Inverness. Friendly, helpful staff. Reservations were a must. The only grievance was that the seating was very cramped. We were packed into a corner with barely any room for movement.

What struck me about this restaurant, among many in Old Town Inverness, was the staff. They make you glad you came. The food is unexpectedly delightful. Presenting local Scottish ingredients in season catapults this place into the realm of "must eat" dining. My friends and I came here for dinner and left very happy. Fish, meat, whatever you chose will... More

When you travel a lot and eat at different places one becomes the next and you don't remember one from the other! The Mustard Seed is one that you will not forget! Great atmosphere, excellent food, but by most standards the staff are what makes this a "crackin' place". They make you feel welcome and have fun at the same... More

Very busy restaurant and best to book. Tried to get short notice early dinner but fully booked. Service superb, very friendly and efficient staff. Mussels as a starter could have fed two of us! Fish was delicious and well cooked.
