Since it opened in 2002, Rocpool Restaurant ha become an effervescent Inverness brasserie with a loyal fan base. A cool contemporary decor with lots of bare wood and bold colours give a buzzy vibe to the restaurant which is situated in a prime site on the banks of the River Ness. The kitchen has a repotoire of eclectic modern dishes which use Scotland's matchless produce sprinkled with Mediterranean sunshine, plus a pinch of exotic spice here and there.

The menu was lovely and included different fresh flavours. The presentation was great and the atmosphere and staff made the visit even better.

On our way from the Inverness airport, our taxi driver recommended the Rocpool as it was close to where we staying for one night. I was so glad she did as it was quite superb. I had Halibut and my husband, John Dory. Both dishes were stunning. Desert was a butterscotch ice cream with popcorn and chocolate sauce, decadent but... More

Rocpool was a high quality dining experience. While in Inverness for 24-36 hours, it was recommended by the owner of our B&B. The white asparagus appetizer (with poached egg, polenta, and watercress) was a complex, well-executed meal unto itself. For a main course, I had beef strips over a bed of greens (mostly watercress, I think) and potatoes accompanied by... More

Great central location on corner of main bridge over River Ness with parking available a short walk away at Cathedral if not on street. Warm welcome and efficient service in a small dining area where they have made best use of space. Had dinner from varied menu and food delicious. Was surprised how efficiently courses served, no long waits given... More

I would highly recommend this restaurant, it is definitely one of the nicest in inverness. Great service and lovely location right beside the river. The early evening menu isnt too expensive either. The nearbye Mustard Seed and The Kitchen have cheaper early evening menus however, and i would say for value for money just slightly beat Rocpool.. However if you... More

Wow indeed! We were 'wowed' from the minute we set foot in the restaurant. The sign on the door said they were full and were not taking any more customers that evening, so we felt very happy that we were able to enter as we had booked our table . We were warmly welcomed and the gentleman made us feel... More
