Perfect for a hungover cooked breakfast. Choose your items and a free sympathy coffee, maybe that was just for me! Central and reasonable

I moved to Inverness in January and wanted to find a friendly cafe which served wonderful coffee. I walked into Rendezvous Cafe on my 2nd day of being in Inverness and have been visiting the cafe nearly every day since I arrived. Giving myself extra time to walk to the cafe, enjoy my coffee and have a chat with the... More

I stopped for lunch here yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at the choice of Gluten free options available. I could order any of their sandwiches on Gluten Free Bread and chose smoked salmon with cream cheese; I was given a choice of coleslaw or salad to accompany the sandwich and I chose the salad which came with potato crisps. I... More

My girlfriend and I went into town for some shopping and decided to have a quick bite to eat for lunch. We were greeted with a friendly hello as we walked in and then everything went downhill. We sat in a booth by the entrance which had a stained table. The window sill was quite dirty (dusty, empty plastic bottles,... More

We had 3 lunches here and enjoyed the soup and cheesie sandwich combination. Wonderful soup and the brown bread for the cheesie sandwich is great. Owner is a very friendly guy who truly loves his business. Waitresses are superb. Prices are so very reasonable. We enjoyed the cauliflower soup and the broccoli soup. Just wonderful soups. All are homemade daily.

Late one morning, in a side-street near downtown Inverness, we chanced upon The Rendezvous Café, a great place for breakfast & lunch. It's small--7 tables inside, 2 outside--so you might have to wait awhile, but it's worth it. The menu features traditional Scottish fare like haggis, black pudding and tattie (potato) scones, but they also serve sandwiches, pasta dishes, and... More

Went there for a Scottish breakfast and ended up getting the best tip ever about visiting the Highlands. If it had not been for the owner's suggestion, we would have missed all the amazing sights along the southeastern road to Loch Ness.

I was determined to have porridge for breakfast while in Scotland and this was the place to go! Warm and creamy, with berries and honey, it was perfect! The service was very friendly and welcoming and there seemed to be a mix of locals and visitors enjoying the fare. Had we stayed in Inverness longer I would have returned to... More
