Family run, small, cozy, locally sourced ingredients. Great food. Good value for the $$. Just across the river from main part of town. Close to the B&B street. Venison and other local food items. One of our group had Mac n Cheese which was the best I had ever tasted. Inverness, Scotland....who knew?

We booked a table a couple of weeks ago and arrived to a very busy restaurant. Service was great - took a little longer between courses than usual but worth waiting for. Portion sizes huge - one of our party had the Stornoway Black Pudding starter and it was a meal in itself. Go there when you are really hungry.... More

This was my first visit to Urquhart's and on this experience it wont be my last. The staff were friendly and efficient, the food was excellent and plentiful, the price was very reasonable. The menu is fairly straightforward, but when you prepare and present food this well then that is plenty good enough. Thoroughly delightful.

Just back, once again, from this lovely little restaurant which offers such friendly service and first class, piping hot, beautifully presented food at very reasonable prices. Cod with mussels in leek and saffron cream was delicious, as was the strawberry tart, and the creme brulee. Black pudding starter out of this world, as was the haggis starter. Prawn curries really... Highly Recommended. A local Taxi driver recommended this restaurant to us. We were well impressed with the menu, it was not too big making choice difficult. The menu items all looked and sounded great. We both had starter, main and dessert. The meats, and haggis were all superb. The quality and attention to detail of their food and its details... More
