Book to make sure you get a table. Lovely old fashioned pub quite small inside but has a covered outside area also. Good choice on menu and dishes cooked to perfection. I dont think you will be dissapointed.

The Bangers & Mash come with a caramelized, reduced onion sauce that is an ingenious twist on a pedestrian dish. Sautéed cabbage is smartly blended with the Mash as a clever compliment. We had the best mac & cheese ourside America we have ever eaten. Our waiter was a bit distant at first (he had a lot of work on... More

Visited here on Sat 11 Oct for an evening meal and we were so taken by it that we came back for the same again on the Sunday. Realy great atmosphere with a mixed and friendly crowd. They have a delightful bar downstairs and a restaurant upstairs. There is also a covered patio to the front for those of a... More

Very good and friendly service - had the best Haggis in town (and other stuff as well) - good selection of Ale's as well as scotch.

We went to this tavern 3 times while we were in Inverness. The first time was at the completion of the Great Glen Way walk as it is right across from the Castle where the walk concludes. We sat outside and had a few beers to celebrate and it was a great location and atmosphere. A nice range of beers... More

I had heard great things about the food here. Gladly we booked ahead as it was busy even midweek. We were seated in the restaurant upstairs. The staff were somewhat vacant and didn't really seem to know exactly what was going on. The food was very average indeed and chips very greasy like the oil wasn't hot enough. The ale... More

Great view on terrace and good selection of beers. Food wasn't up to par the once but all the rest of the times it has been fine.

Staff were very obliging and helpful! Food was very good, I had the venison with mustard mash which was really nice, not great presentation but still lovely. My companion had the steak which she said was really good. Desserts were the best....cheesecake (a good portion) and sticky toffee pudding. It was less than expected with just over £25 including a... Great food, beer and sitting outside with heaters watching big screen. Very friendly staff and comfortable seats. Lots of newspapers and interesting pictures/ paintings on wall.
