Really good food for a nice price. The venison was very good. Book a table in advance as the restaurant is very popular !

Walked in late on a Thursday evening. Ordered two appetizers and one main course. Everything was excellent. Scallops were exceptional, wonderful salmon terrine, and perfectly cooked venison, accompanied by excellent Hartmann champagne from Reims. Service was quite good, wish we had gone back instead of trying a different restaurant the next night.

The welcoming atmosphere of this cafe and restaurant is given by the fact that is run by volunteers, their passion shines through the whole place and you will leave with a smile on your face. Spotlessly clean, good coffee (I don't drink tea) and voluptuous cakes or a good selection of hearty meals will cheer up your visit to the... More

We had a great meal here and most of all the staff were very accommodating! Obe even went out and bought our 2yo some special winnie the pooh cutlery. Even thr chunky chips were great and I'm not normally a huge fan. Well done guys.

Food was average quality, but overpriced. The waitress was horribly rude the few times we were able to get her attention. I would not recommend, even if price is not an issue, as there are much better options within the area.

We dined here late in the evening near to the last serving. Our waiter was so pleasant and a delight to talk with. Our appetizer to start with was Pan Seared King Scallops on a Cauliflower Puree with Cumin Sauce. It sounded so good to one other in the party that she asked the waiter if the chef would be... More

We ate there in the early evening and didn't have to book. The food is lovely with a good choice of traditional and modern dishes. The service is excellent; the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Excellent value.

Dropped in here on the recommendation of several people and it proved a winner in all aspects. We were travelling with friends from the USA and wanted something of good quality near the centre and this worked for us. We opted for the early evening menu which had a discount offer but still a good choice on all courses. Staff... More

My first impression was it's slightly over rated and maybe even over priced but the food is excellent. You will definitely need a reservation, but once you're there be prepared for a top rate meal. Joy of Taste is a traditional restaurant and part of the established Inverness community.
