Here's Johnnie!

We visited this restaurant a couple of weeks ago. I promised to write a review. Food was excellent. I had steak which was juicy and tasty. My wife had lamb which was succulent and melt in the mouth. We had great chat and laugh with manager Johnnie who was lovely. Service was fan! Thanks again... read more

I decided to go the next day with my friends and try their pasta pesto. We arrived and were seated by the door by the... More

This is a reastaurant that offers international cuisine with high standard. We had a good time here. My daughter had a dish with a kind o potato gratin with celery and artichokes (she prefers vegetarian) and was delighted, while I had a smoked salmon starter that was good, if not very inventive.

Our party of 6 enjoyed dinner at Joy of Taste at 6pm on a Friday night. My own choice from the 3 course set menu was a delicious cheddar souffle, shin of beef with parsnip mash and veg, finished off with a lemon posset. The quality and taste of the food was excellent and all in my party agreed the... More

Had a really good meal here. The décor could do with a makeover, but the service (very good) and the food more than make up for that. The restaurant has changed hands and there will be a revamp and possibly a change of name. The only off-putting thing to me were the large windows looking straight on to the street... More

Located right downtown, we found this place by accident when looking for a late lunch. It wasn't much to look at from the street but most places were closed to prepare for dinner so we had limited options. Although they too were just about to close, they found a place for us and served up an excellent lunch. We didn't... More

My friend and I had lunch here last week and had forgotten how good it is.Johnnie the day manager made us feel so welcome(although the waitress had said to us that our table was for 5 and didn't want us to sit there). The macaroni cheese and home made chips couldn't be faulted. Other friends were there at the same time... More

Quality, highly recommended! Visited at 8.30 on a Friday and found the staff really welcoming but the food was perfect and very reasonably priced. This restaurants is a type of co-op with the front of house staff volunteering and sharing in the profits at the end of the year so worthy of support too!
