Visited the Joy of Taste last night, Saturday October 11th. This was my 3rd delightful visit, to celebrate my friend's birthday. The food was mouth-watering, a scallop and roasted... More

Nothing specific that sets this place apart from anywhere else, more a combination of just getting everything right. Nice relaxing atmosphere, good service and great food.

With our first two restaurant choices either full or closed due to a water leak, we were recommended to try the Joy of Taste. This was a great choice. I had my first souffle and it was outstanding. DInner selections were very good and the whisky menu was large and inexpensive. A very good choice for food in this city.

Went here for lunch with a group of friends. We didn't need to book but the restaurant was still busy. Staff friendly and attentive. Good menu. I had the macaroni cheese it was lovely but the portion was very small. Nice fresh side salad. Friend had a burger and it was still pink in the middle so she couldn't eat... More

SPECIFICALLY: The starter was an imaginative, perhaps ingenious salad of mixed, shredded smoked ham hock and spicy pear, topped with deeply-flavored watercress on a bed of Belgian endive shells tinged with horseradish. The combination was inspired. Her main was perfectly-cooked, classic tender roast lamb in a wine-reduction. His was unique: pan-fried sea bass, on a bed of vermicelli in shrimp... More

Joy of Taste gives you exactly that - well cooked fine flavours - and at very reasonable prices. This restaurant is a joint venture of up to 20 people doing one 4 hour shift per week for free (plus a drink and a meal). We were served by Lucy Barrlie who has just opened "Inspirations" a craft-type shop at 22... More

We were on holiday in Inverness and wanted a nice meal. We had read the reviews on Trip Advisor and decided to give it a go. We had a lovely evening. The restaurant itself had a nice feel to it and had lovely background music playing which was non intrusive. As for the food, it was lovely. Well presented and... More
