best near the station in Inverness

Excellent freshly made smoked salmon sandwich near the station in Inverness. Biodegradable takeaway cups for going to a bus or train. Pulled pork with coleslaw was also highly recommended. Plenty of space for backpacks on our way from the Highlands.

We recently visited here whilst on a weekend trip to Inverness. The food was amazing, service was brilliant. Staff all looked immaculate and very professional. Was very impressed, especially as many cafes struggle to cater for people with dietary requirements; Cafe Artysans managed to do this with ease. We will be back in the future.

One or two of the reviews below have mentioned that the service was a little slow - it was, but this is a social enterprise as well as a great coffee and food shop and most of the staff are young people who are learning work skills, so I think the mildly slow pace can be excused, and the place... Dropped in here to kill time waiting on a train. It's quite close to both the bus and train stations but even so I found it difficult to find. I really wanted soup but soup of the day was tomato, coriander and brie and I wasn't sure how that would work. No fear, it was absolutely delicious - as was... More

I had an hour to kill before catching my bus back to Glasgow. I saw this place and recognised it from perusing TripAdvisor. Thought I would give it a go. I was quickly given a menu and I was waiting for a little while and began to think that perhaps I should go up with my order. It was busy,... More

I have been here several times and every time it's been great. The soup is delicious - the last couple of times I've had mushroom soup and cullen skink, both of which were very generous portions and tasted delicious (my partner had the mushroom soup two days in a row as it was that good!). One of the choices to... More

Cullen skink soup with warmed Hoagie rolls and butter. Lovely all except till I discovered a bone in my fish! I was going to have cake and coffee but no one seemed to be interested in serving so I left it as it is.

Great to see that young people are able to gain work experience at this cafe. Lovely products are made and sold on premises. Good coffee. Not much in the way of gluten free options. Helpful staff
