Never thought I'd plan a return to Inverness for Caribbean food!

Stopped in here for lunch, food was delicious and very well priced. I had a goat curry burger which I wolfed down in no time. I wish I'd had time to order more food. Friendly staff, good Jamaican music on in the background and good decorations. It's not fine dining, didn't really need my knife... read more

Wonderful food in a simple themed atmosphere. The scallops were wonderful, as were the Peri Peri chicken, and the goat curry. Well worth a visit!

Me and a group of my friends came across this little gem of a Jamaican restaurant by chance. Once we entered the restaurant we were welcomed by friendly staff. We also enjoyed the surroundings which is beach hut themed and of course loved the music of Bob Marley. We did notice outside seating which will be good when we come... More

We tried this restaurant for the first time a few weeks ago. It had the promise of interesting Jamaican cuisine. The menu was however was a bit disappointing and the service was really slow. The 'authentic' dishes we tried - jerk chicken and a goat dish were both OK but didn't live up to the hype! The place seems to... More

Been coming here fairly often, always greeted with a warm smile, made to feel very welcome and ask how i've been which is appreciated in todays busy society. Have tried a few of the meals since they opened and have always been impressed with the quality of the food and service, i usually go in for lunch as it's easy... More

Me and my hubbie booked a table for last Saturday night while we were in Inverness for the weekend. He tried the goat curry and I had veggie risotto and they were both to die for! Very fresh and tasty and the rum punch was lovely too! We have recommended the place to our friends that are visiting next month,... More

Myself and some friends decided to come here for Lunch. The guys very friendly..a bit too friendly? But still made us welcome. The style of the place is quite cool and quirky. The goats curry was really good (minus lots of bones) but you have to wait AGES for your food. If in Inverness and you have time. try it... More

I'd heard that there may be Caribbean food in Inverness, so a lttle search around the city centre and I stumbled across Kool Runnings. I was expecting a small take out place, however was surprised that I could sit down and eat. I was welcomed by the owner come chef with a broad smile and cheery words. The menu was... More

My husband and I went up to Inverness for a weekend and whilst walking around town we came across ‘Kool Runnings’. It looked slightly out of place in a Scottish high street but nevertheless the décor and Jamaican flags intrigued us through the door to try the chilli nachos which were advertised on the window. We were greeted by the... More

I booked the whole restaurant out for my works Christmas night out in dreary, cold January. What better way to chase away the post Xmas blues than lashings of rum punch and a fantastic caribbean buffet? There were 20 of us in total, and not one grumble about the food quality or quantity...probably helped by the never ending jugs of... More
