Good value, good food

The Waterfront was a recommendation from our B&B. It is in a good location next to the river but the flood works are dragging on and the diggers, fences and building materials do nothing for the view. Although the place was busy and we had no reservation we were seated quickly. The menu is varied... read more

Great pub style restaurant. Fantastic Cullen Skink and Haddock and chips. I had cod and chips which was pretty traditional but the Haddock came with a different kind of light batter. All very good with nice pub vibe and good selection of local beers. friendly staff a good welcome and a good goodbye which doesn't happen in some places. Good... More

Trip advisor to the rescue once again! We looked for a nice pub while we were in Inverness and the Waterfront came towards the top of the list. There is construction going on at the water side which makes it a bit difficult to get to at the moment but should be fantastic when it is finished. Maybe some outside... More

We had a business dinner so we wanted somewhere that we could relax and talk over good food and drink. Between us we had some meat fans, a fish lover and a vegetarian and we all really enjoyed our dinner. The menu had a great deal of choice, and as a vegetarian I had the rare experience of struggling to... More

Excellent home cooked food after a long day's hillwalking. We had Highland Tapas for starters followed by Trawlerman's Pie (filled with white fish, salmon and prawns) and Jacobite Chicken (chicken and haggis topped in onion and Drambuie sauce). Both were very big portions such that neither of us required dessert at the end of the meal. Staff also informative about... More

Every time I go to the Waterfront, I feel very welcome, things are served the way I ask, yet I feel bad when I see their staffs running about to get all the orders done! Gosh I cant imagine how the kitchen could be like!! I have seen a few bad comments here, and I believe those who are rating... More

Food was terrible. From good ingriedients they manage to make the worst casserole I ever had. Shame, shame, shame. It is a nice pub, service is good but they serve the worst food in the town. My KP can cook better.
