...like so many others that are trying to be like a restaurant, consequently all the tables, bar one pokey little corner, are set for diners. What about the visitor who is looking for a comfortable seat to enjoy a beer or two? Is there such a place in Inverness? We couldn't find it.

We had an evening meal here when we'd left it too late to get into Inverness's favourite restaurants. Firstly, we must say, the staff were a delight - very friendly and efficient. The Waterfront is a pleasant pub type of place that serves decent pub style food at slightly higher prices. Menu showed a good selection of food. Unfortunately our... More

They described it as warm apple pie and ice cream they failed to mention the Mango coulis, toffee apple, chocolate square, whiskey flavoured cream with strawberries and raspberries. But I forgave them. A wonderful evening meal. Humble surroundings but exquisite flavours with creative twists on the best of Scottish food. I'll be back every time I'm in town.

The Waterfront was recommended to us for good wholesome cooking and excellent atmosphere. Both recommendations were correct. Enjoyed the meal immensely.

It was our 3rd choice to have Sunday lunch but it will be first choice from now on ! Simple menu superbly cooked and served with a smile and at fantastic value . The evening menu looked so tempting that we will be back soon as its an excellent location with plenty parking nearby..

I can honestly say I go to the waterfront on a regular basis, around twice a month maybe more if we are really hungry! We go here for a certain dish 'The Blackened Chicken Sizzler' it is a chicken breast in a Cajun and cheese sauce and is by far the best meal I have EVER had! The staff are... More

We ate at The Waterfront in January 2014 after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, we were looking for some 'pub-grub' on a wet and windy Sunday evening. The pub is a short walk out of town, set beside the river I'm sure it's a pleasant place in the summer months. The food was decent pub-food, everything they claim it is... More

Another delicious meal in what has become our favourite restaurant/pub in Inverness. Our first visit was in October when we had Australian family visiting. Luckily for us all- it was a Thursday night so we were able to enjoy our meal and be entertained by the live folk band Schiehallion who play regularly there. It all added to a wonderful atmosphere... The waterfront is a lovely traditional pub on the banks of the river ness about 10 minutes walk from the centre of town. I loved the atmosphere, the splendid river views and the fine real ale on tap. The bar was very clean and service was good.I thought the food was adequate pub food but not on a par with... More
