In inverness for the day and it started to rain so we called in here. We weren't expecting much but typical pub food but what a surprise. My wife had the venison and I had pork fillets both excellent and very tasty. Good food good service and not expensive. What more could you ask for?

The food was excellent and the prices reasonable. Laid back atmosphere and staff. Don't be in a hurry, however

Johnny Foxes had the feel of a typical pub and we expected typical pub food - boy were we wrong! Our waitress, Emily, suggested that we try the night's special and we were not disappointed. Paul is a very creative chef, and his meals are beautifully presented. The flaky halibut was pan fried and served with courgette, rocket, and potato.... More

Overpriced, overrated, pathetic unprofessional bar staff, filthy tacky junk hanging from the roof and the walls, the door staff are a total joke . We will certainly never ever return.P.S. liked all the vomit and phlegm around the tables outside (the only thing about this place that is real)

Went for dinner here with a friend while staying in Inverness on business. Nice pub with wooden floors and cosy private booths overlooking the river. Though it has a friendly bustling atmosphere. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food, which isn't your typical pub grub. Modern dishes at reasonable prices but with some of the usual choices thrown... More

Stopped by to have a few pints of cider. Atmosphere can be quite rowdy at times. Best seats are outside (they have around 4-6 picnic tables at the front, which have nice views of the River Ness). Price is average. Recommended.

We went here on the fri night for a few drinks and were waiting ages to get served despite being at the front of the bar for a bout 15mins. The staff seemed to be either talking to each other or just really slow. We gave it another go on the sat through the day as they have a nice... More

We ate early dinner here and were very impressed. I had venison(2 pieces) with celeriac and gratin potato. My wife had salmon fillet with crushed potatoes, vegetable ragout and a courgette fritter. My venison was cooked well and very tasty. The salmon fillet was cooked to perfection. For the price this was certainly a cut above pub food. Meals were... More
