One of the better bars in Inverness

Nice layout, bar wraps around the whole room. Great live music with local bands playing. A little more expensive than some other local bars. Food is quite good. At weekend 'the den' opens which is a 'club' which actually is just a little room. Pretty awful few years old top 40 chart music playing... read more

I stopped in for light bites and beer and was pleasantly surprised by both! I had the scallop appetizer and mussels and both were very tasty indeed! The mussels appetizer is easy to share for two people. The service was good too. This is a great pub and it's also open late!

We stopped for lunch and everybody enjoyed their meals with no complaints Typical pub grub with good service. the only down side was the price of drinks at the bar were extremely over priced compared to other bars in the area. Perhaps this might have something to do with location as it sits facing centre town facing river ness.

I know it's not much going on in Inverness and there is not much places to go but it shouldn't be allowed to wait 20min for a drink... I couldn't get a drink so just left and went home. I'm again disappointed...

Visited the pub for lunch on a trip to Loch Ness, came in with a group of 15, but the pub was happy to accommodate us. Especially the New Zealand waiter was very nice and helpful, allowing us all the have lunch together. Enjoyed the chicken burger which was very tasty and presented in a way you would never expect... I was there on Monday this week and it was a very bad experience. The drinks were extremely overpriced and the barman was very rude. He just seemed brain dead and unresponsive. The toilets were absolutely disgusting and the floors were extremely sticky! We quickly finished our drinks and left. Definitely Won’t be back again!

Traditional pub atmosphere but busy bar hampered table service. The food was hearty and filling. Need to watch that food is heated properly. Pricey in comparison to other Inverness restaurants with a better quality offering and servers just for food. But we did enjoy what we had.

Have been to Johnny Foxes a few times now as it has a great selection of beers / ales and the food is good. Can get busy at times but understandable.
