The three of us went here for dinner after reading reviews from TripAdvisor and the location is close to the hotel that we were staying. It is a very cute and cosy restaurant located along the River Ness. I really like the simple decor and the service. The staff were friendly & attentive (although one of them looks like she... More

A lovely sweet restaurant, but let down slightly by the service. My partner and I had beautiful food there and the pork belly starter was beyond superb. The staff appeared distracted and we had the feeling they were going through the motions instead of being genuinely friendly. The rump steak was a little tough and hard to cut and the... More

Without a reservation we were walking around Inverness and stumbled upon this place and gave it a try. What a memorable experience! Food was excellent and service was attentive and very personable. We had pork loin & haggis and mussels. Craft beers from Cairngorm brewery complimented the meal. We noticed tables next to us having equally enjoyable experiences. We did... More

The Riverside sits right on the riverfront of the River Ness about 2 minutes on foot from the town centre. The staff were lovely and the menu included tasty offerings such as Shetland scallops, crab cakes, and west coast mussels as starters, and mains of highland lamb, venison, and the rather special chicken breast with haggis and oatmeal with a... I'd probably rate our experience as 3.5 but it just wasn't quite good enough for a 4. We dined on a lovely, sunny Sunday evening. There were two other couples and a Belgian family of 5, all tourists like us. I think the restaurant has a lot to be thankful for from Trip Advisor reviews, which is why I wanted... More

As most places are closed Sundays we chanced upon the Riverside Restaurant at 9pm. They were incredibly gracious with our late arrival and treated us warmly. The halibut was incredible, as was the beautiful presentation. Everything was fresh including the bread made on the premises. The staff could not have been more friendly and warm. We can recommend this establishment... More

We had a delightful lunch here with our family from Norway, seafood enthusiasts! They had squid starters and a dish composed of two different kinds of fish which they all thought was brilliant-and Norwegians know their fish! The menu was interesting and varied with vegetarian options for people like me who don't eat things with faces. We were served promptly... More

The owners of our bed and breakfast recommended this restaurant and they were right to do so. The restaurant is small but the service from the waitress and indeed the chef/owner was first class. My husband had a scallop starter which my husband said was the best ever. This was followed by mussels and a steak for myself and again,... More

Ate here tonight and i have eaten in a lot of restaurants and appreciate good food and service. This was one of the worst experiences ever. It all started with the waitress taking our food order whilst chewing gum around her wide open mouth- we should have left then!! The soup , Pea & Ham, whilst full of Ham was... More

Thank you for your review on trip advisor and I am absolutely appalled to read of your experience in my restaurant. I will be addressing all the issues raised to my staff and this is completely unacceptable service and also the quality of food that we serve should be to standard to which I shall be speaking to my kitchen...
