English mac and cheese was deliciously creamy and thick; sea trout was cooked to perfection; home made apple and plum crumble was scrumptious. Setting is right on Loch Ness beach; with patio option for warmer season. Inside room is cozy, with wood-beam ceiling, fireplace and couch for relaxing with after-dinner drinks.

Amazing old Inn with the best view of Loch Ness. You can walk right up to the waterfront which is on the back of the Inn. the entrance is a small door, that gets you into the bar area, where there are old wooden benches and chairs and tables, white plastered walls and friendly people welcoming you in. You get... More

Nipped in for a burger and chips on my way home. There was an awful lot of bun for the size of the burger, in fact, you could barely see the burger inside it. What's with the wooden steak thru the burger - is it to make sure it is completely dead? Nice salad and chips were lovely. Sadly, the... More

Dores Inn is an all around excellent place to visit. It ticks every box in what it means to offer a good service. The food is terrific and I am pleased to see they are using local produce. The staff are helpful, friendly and very efficient. We used their shuttle bus service which was great as we were able to... More

Had to eat in the bar area as the restaurant was full and we hadn't' booked. Very small bar but good atmosphere, although was a wee bit chilly when door out and door to toilets were opened. We both had a starter, my Chicken Liver Parfait was very dry and crumbly with very little taste, also nowhere near enough toast... More

A gentle Sunday night booked into the Dores Inn. Absolutely stunning . The staff were attentive, humorous, good spirited and very on the ball. The starters were very well presented, not over fussy but very tasty with a great mix of quality ingredients perfectly cooked. We had fillet steaks for mains which were melt in the mouth and cooked exactly... More

Had a wonderful Easter dinner here. It wasn't fancy...just a sandwich and mac and cheese...but it was the best mac and cheese we have has since moving to UK three years ago!!! The staff is great and the views of the Loch Ness are wonderful. There is lots of bench seating outside as well as tables and chairs. There is... More

Came upon this place after a drive around the loch and stopped expecting a place to grab a quick drink at the waterside. From the roadside this place does not look particularly eye catching. Don't be fooled! What we found was a fab little bistro pub with the most amazing haddock and chips I've had in a long time (and... More
