We were staying locally and asked about the best local eatery and the lady in our hotel mentioned the dores inn. We arrived in the afternoon and its a good job we did...they had 1 table left. Upon arrival our table wasn't quite ready but the staff were very attentive and before we knew we were at our table. The... More

A spontaneous afternoon turned out to be an absolutely incredible one. The views across the Loch were superb, the staff were awesome, so friendly and welcoming. The log burning stove created a lovely, cosy atmosphere in the restaurant and the menu had a fantastic variety I really struggled to choose. In the end, I decided to complete the authentic Scottish... More

9 of us went for sunday lunch in early december and it was so busy! Lots of passersby turned away, how do the visitors to the area get in? The sunday roasts were really good- roast potatoes very tough on outside though. The desserts great and the baking looked very tempting for another time but too full this time. All the... More

The Dores Inn is worthwhile visiting the food is gorgeous, staff friendly and the views of Loch Ness surrounding Dores Inn is Stunning I never get bored of the views. It could do with a touch up and maybe opening up the buildling to give more spectacular views while the customers enjoy their food, but overall worthwhile.

This is one of our favourite restaurants, we always receive the best of attention by the friendly staff, and the meals are simply fantastic, we normally go for lunch, we will try the evening meal some time....something else to look forward to

You get a decent feed here but expect to pay above Pub prices, the location is lovely though on the shores of loch ness, and the famous ''Nessie hunter'' guy has his hut nearby on the beach of the loch!

We visited the Dores Inn on Sunday 1st December 2014 and again on Monday, 2nd December. It's easy to see why the place has plenty of customers even on a cold winters day. We enjoyed great food in a nice restaurant serves by lovely helpful and efficient staff. We will certainly be going again the next time we visit Scotland.

Enjoyed a lovely family lunch here on Friday. Staff very warm and welcoming, nice relaxed ambience and an interesting menu. Fussy kids declared their home made fish fingers to be the best they'd even eaten.

We had a meal here last night, our first visit and we will definitely be back. The food was amazing, the service was superb, very attentive from when we first stepped in the door and the complimentary shuttle bus back to Inverness topped off what was a very enjoyable evening to celebrate both my mum and dad In law's birthdays....
