Visited this little restaurant on 22 June 2014 for a family member's 40th birthday, and were welcomed by Gus, who has a dry sense of humour, and we had great banter! Menu choices are wide and varied, causing megga problems chosing, but all four of us were delighted with the meals we had. Freshly cooked dishes, beautiful veggies served on... More

We went for lunch mid April. It looks and feels like a cafe, in need of refurbishment. The home made lemonade was very unpleasant. And £3 per glass! The beef burgers were nice enough but small and served with a few limped lettuce leafs on the side. I'm sure the clouds of smoke and strong cooking smells coming from the... More

There aren't many restaurants in the Inverness area that'd beat this. Friendly service and the finest venison dish (oriental style, with ginger, chilli and garlic) I've ever eaten, without question. Beautiful Scottish-themed desserts, too! Just remember to bring along your own wine; only soft drinks are sold (no corkage charge). I'll be returning here that's for sure!

Great food, great service, great location. Loved it. The people are friendly. A relaxed place. We had three course for lunch. Couldn't help it as the menu was so tempting.

We spent a week sailing Loch Ness and the canals and on the last night booked a table for 7 at the Oakwood - best night of the week! The owners and waitress were so welcoming we felt at home immediately and the food, 5 different main courses and 4 desserts, was delicious! Then, the ladies got to go shopping!... More

We went in this restaurant the four of us and it was full. But the waiter said come back in an hour. Good job we went back as the food was extremely good and the sauce was no word will describe. If you are near Inverness this restaurant is a must.

This little jewel nestled beside the Caledonian Canal and Loch Docharroch serves some of the best salmon I've EVER eaten! Friendly staff and great atmosphere if you want the real Highland experience.
