Average food that 'does the job'

We went here for lunch, I'm not usually a fan of Jimmy Chung's as the one in Elgin is absolutely terrible however I'm pleased to say the Inverness effort is far better. It's just standard Chinese food at an average price, the staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet was well stocked when we... read more

We arrived in Inverness fairly late on 25 April 2016 – the night before Etape Loch Ness – not thinking about the need to pre-book a table anywhere. Having our hearts set on Italian we set out in search of some nice pasta but, like Mary and Joseph in search of an Inn, we were turned away from every door.... More

Big open soul less room , with perfect picture windows looking out over the river ,this place has so much potential. The buffet style food had obviosly been lying out for a while , as a lot of it was dried out. The cooks have an uncanny ability to make everything taste the same ! Most of the service was... More

From the outside, Jummy Chung's looked to be a good bet for some Chinese food. It proved to be anything but a good bet. He food is not solely Chinese and it is served buffet style. By the time my partner and I arrived for our dinner, the buffet was tired and worn out looking. The food quality was at... More

We went in about 6.30pm and the resturant was quite quite, so getting to the buffet was easy, the buffet area is not that big compared to the resturant itself, the staff are really at tentative and cleared your plate away as soon as it was empty, the choice was amazing compared to some of the buffets we have been... Jimmy Chugs is good for Chinese food in Inverness. There are lots of different dishes to choose from. Buffet style - help yourself eating. Food hot and restaurant clean. On some seats you can see across the river ness, whilst eating your meal. They also celebrate Chinese new year, with a ticketed banquet, in February each year.

An early family lunch was called for and we arrived just after it opened. There was a full range of food and it was fresh and hot. The service was friendly and it was perfectly positioned along the river Ness and round the corner from Primark. We just need our local one rebuilt (Aberdeen) and we would be sorted.

Excellent food and at a very good price. Staff were very friendly. Perfectly situated in the centre of Inverness city centre. Plenty of other places and restaurants around here as well and the castle is a must to see.

If you have children and want a no nonsense, no wait, easy to manage lunch you can't really go wrong with a chain like Jimmy Chungs. Pros: A chain all you can eat buffet restaurant; Jimmy Chung's though has the advantage of larger chain size so higher quality of food and a good selection as they are backed by corporate... More
