Hardly Exciting

Spent 2 very short evenings here in January '15. Bar had more people in it than the rest of Wick put together but there was no atmosphere. Like all Wetherspoons pubs, it was good value, with a wide selection of drinks and food but the design did not lend itself for a cosy bar setting, instead there... read more

I like Wetherspoons - you know exactly what to expect - a good range of food and drink at reasonable prices. This one was no different. It was warm and welcoming on a blustery March day, service was friendly and prompt. Pleased to see some Scottish Specialities on the menu and also the first time I've seen a Family /... More

Used to be great but food not as good as it used to be especially for vegetarians. Still good for families but as with everything prices have gone up and quality gone down.

Swore almost 2 years ago I wouldn't go back to this establishment. We were out for a family meal and accused of not mentioning we had someone under 18 years old in our party when placing the booking.........I made the booking, I wasn't asked!!!! I don't appreciate being called a liar. Anyway, 2 years later I walk in with my... More

Used to visit this pub frequently and was always impressed by the cheap food and drink and the nice atmosphere but in recent months this place has gone downhill rapidly. On various occasions, mainly at a weekend, I have witnessed loutish behaviour from drunks which gets totally ignored by management and staff. Having had drinks spilled on me one night... More

This is my first time using this pub, I'm visiting from Hampshire. I usually eat and drink in Weatherspoons in Basingstoke and have used many of their places in London so am very familiar with what they offer, good food at reasonable prices, however I was disappointed that none of the advertised ales on the generic menu were available. I... More

It's a Wetherspoons so you know what you're getting before you go in, it's good food at cracking prices, staff are friendly and service is pretty quick. What more can you ask for

Its Wetherspoons - you get what you expect. Tasty enough burgers but would not win any awards. Pleasant enough place and staff are friendly.
