Good standard pub grub

Just like any Wetherspoons found around the UK the standard is pretty much the same. Decent pub food if you find yourself stuck for somewhere to eat. Curry night on a Thursday was pretty good, main meal and a drink for £6 can't complain.

Never had a bad meal at a Wetherspoons and was not disappointed. If you go to a Wetherspoons you know what type of food you will get, basically grilled

My Wife, 3 grandsons and i had lunch here today. Very pleasantly surprised, the staff were efficient and friendly, our orders were delivered promptly. The food was piping hot and very tasty. The prices were very very reasonable In the past i have been very derisive regarding Wetherspoon's, but today i have to say we enjoyed our lunch.

I visited on a Sunday for an evening meal. As I'm a vegetarian I decided to try the vegetarian roast. The menu said that if you were having either the meat or vegetarian roast it was £7.49 with an alcoholic drink. I was charged £10.08 despite my protestations and the meal took well over 30 minutes to arrive. The food... More

i recently visited Wetherspoons in Wick which has a perfect location in the town centre. The food and drink was fine but one member of family didn't like his espresso coffee. The service was friendly but haphazard at bar and was a bit slow. Building was an old post office however it's massive! Toilets were a bit of a walk... More

Apparently the staff all walked out not long before our visit, the poor manageress was doing her best, but the food was less than average and cold when arrived, unfortunately the offer of a free sweet did not make up for the disappointment.

I like Wetherspoons - you know exactly what to expect - a good range of food and drink at reasonable prices. This one was no different. It was warm and welcoming on a blustery March day, service was friendly and prompt. Pleased to see some Scottish Specialities on the menu and also the first time I've seen a Family /... More

Spent 2 very short evenings here in January '15. Bar had more people in it than the rest of Wick put together but there was no atmosphere. Like all Wetherspoons pubs, it was good value, with a wide selection of drinks and food but the design did not lend itself for a cosy bar setting, instead there is a vast... More
