not just good food, but great food, well presented and well served one of the best French meals I have had and I had to travel 750 miles from the channel coast to get it. Meals are nicely proportioned in size. I had the grilled goats cheese salad, the rabbit and cheeseboard. All were excellent. Not the cheapest at £74 for... More

Good value cooking in the French style of old, with some bold sauces (that might not be to everyone's taste. A warm welcome and nice conservatory overlooking the inner estuary.

Very nice authentic French food! Chef came out to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Lamb was cooked to perfection. Will be back next time I am in Wick!

My husband wanted to try out this restaurant having read the reviews online. We arrived on a wet Wednesday lunchtime and were initially the only diners so we bagged a table at the front overlooking the river. The menu was surprisingly comprehensive for lunch with something to meet all palates and appetites. I enjoyed a crab salad while my slightly... More

The cultural connections between France and Scotland are ancient. This lovely restaurant is a modern representation of those connections, on the river in Wick. There is an excellent wine list, and the menu is deliciously diverse. The choices I made-prawns followed by the pheasant with seasonal vegetables- were wonderful. The service and hospitality were also terrific. I look forward to... More

Lovely fresh seafood and salad. A nice relief from the deep fried offerings elsewhere. Gratin potatoes instead of chips. Go here, you wont regret it

In a town where there is little choice of restaurants/pubs and quite frankly despite potential just needs a huge cash injection, this restaurant excels and was heartwarming to find. The food was OUTSTANDING; I had crab salad and lamb, my husband had tiger prawns and pheasant. We shared creme brulee for dessert. All were some of the best dishes we... More

A nice family run restaurant with superb food and wine. If you ever come this far north in Scotland , well you should give it a try.

Visited twice in a week, firstly with a hospital colleague and secondly with my wife. I was doing a 2 week Consultant locum at the local hospital. None of us were expecting food of such high quality in a small place such as Wick. We have eaten in many restaurants in popular areas of NW England including a prestigious French... More
