An absolute gem.

A bit late with this review but I felt it needed to be done. In 2015 I sailed around Britain and spent some time in Wick in July. I found Bord de L'eau when desperate to find some decent food. It absolutely knocked mine and my wife's socks off. It was a real deal small family run French... read more

Food on the menu is ok, nothing special. Food is pricey and not worth the prices charged. Service is also slow.

Have for the last few years enjoyed an evening out with friends at bord d'eau. Food always excellent, atmosphere good and you can sit and chat as long as you like without ever feeling rushed.

We had a very nice meal. Service was good. A good sign was that the restaurant was busy with locals on a Friday evening in December. The chef/owner went around all the tables later to speak to everyone, a very nice touch!

Run by a couple he is French, comfortable restaurant excellent menu with specials, accent on seafood, but no dish I have tried has disappointed me, good selection of house wine. Approximate cost of 3 course meal, for two, with drinks and wine is £80 - £100 Good ambience and atmosphere Recommended

Fresh produce, beautifully and imaginatively cooked, with excellent French sauces. Atmosphere is a bit cold - but the food makes up for it.

My dad and I ate an amazing meal at Bord de L'eau in Wick in late May 2015. The food was delicious, and the waitress and chef were really friendly with us. All the meals were equally fantastic, and the service could not have been better. I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone in or around Wick, and feel... More

Very nice meal. Husband had the monkfish which was delicious and I had chicken in a red pepper sauce, also tasty

The meal and setting was great and the staff were very helpful. Great location by the river. There is a carpark outside with ample room and a nice bar inside. You can sit in the dining area or a conservatory are with nice views. Great place.
