I was just passing by, but decided to have a lunch. And it was good decision. First time i have eaten snails- it was really delicious here. Very nice staff. It was a surprise when kitchen chef came to my table. A little disappointment- lack of wifi connection (for travelers it's quite important i think), but the food was worth... More

Nobody does food like the French. This place, run by French chef Danny and his wife is the real thing. The decor is very simple- but the food is exquisite. The smoked salmon starter; the wonderful sauces on perfectly cooked meat (remember if you want your meat cooked well done you have to say this when you order) and the... More

Our meal (for two) was very nice, in a french style. It was also pleasant to sit in the restaurant conservatory on a mild evening. I'd have given the restaurant four stars but, unfortunately, when the bill came I was surprised at how much more expensive our meal was than anticipated. On closer examination of the bill, I found that... More

like this place. Visited with family for lunch. Best black pudding ever tasted. Halibut beautifully cooked. Lamb delicious. Armanac sauce so good I was hard pushed not to lick my plate. Service superb and Janice very welcoming. Chatty and funny. Love chef Danny checking personally all is well. Cannot fault this place and well worth every penny. Well perhaps a... More

Great restaurant with a great chef, worth making a detour if going to Scrabster. Almost worth staying in Wick

Excellent meals, never ever had a bad experience in the restaurant. Danny the owner and chef comes round personally to talk to diners after he has finished for the evening cooking. Not to be missed. My other half loves fish and there is always many different options to pick from, the steak melts in our mouth and as for the dauphinois... More

We have had so many superb meals here - cannot recommend highly enough. If you like game, this is the place for you. Likewise fish - scallops mmmmmm. Steaks too bordelaise sauce is fab. Front of house staff are friendly and no pretentious rubbish either which is a big plus. Recommend visit and enjoy!
