A nice family run restaurant with superb food and wine. If you ever come this far north in Scotland , well you should give it a try.

Visited twice in a week, firstly with a hospital colleague and secondly with my wife. I was doing a 2 week Consultant locum at the local hospital. None of us were expecting food of such high quality in a small place such as Wick. We have eaten in many restaurants in popular areas of NW England including a prestigious French... More

We went here for a family meal, the service was excellent and the meal was absolutely delicious , the atmosphere was really good. The bill was very reasonable as well, we've been before and will be back again.

We had no great expectations for eating in Wick. However, no 1 Bistro, which could not take us, looked good and Bord de L'eau was a huge success. We stuck to the fish on the menu: fish soup, monkfish and halibut, and they were outstanding with superb yet light sauces. Wonderful frites and a dauphinoise..... OK, I would not eat... More

This is a medium to small restaurant in the town center area of Wick. Pros: It's definitely French food. The chef came out to meet us. The food was good. Outdoor café area, depending on weather. Cons: Décor inside is so-so. We went in the evening and the single service person was nice, but a bit busy at times.

This is a really very good restaurant, much better than many in France. The pheasant was outstanding. I would like to see a genuine 2 or 3 course fixed price menu, and a vin ouvert in volumes of 37,5 and 50dl (Lidls have suitable) would be good.

We pre booked this restaurant and were welcomed and after that the service went down. Yes it was Valentine's day but waiting for over 40 minutes for service and others were being served before us. It spoilt the night, the food was good when it came but we didn't wait to order dessert because of the slow service

Visiting any restaurant off season is going to be a challenge for even the best. I had lunch one cold afternoon in January at Bord de L'eau; there were only 4 other diners and we all sat in the front 'conservatory' overlooking the car park. I opted for 2 courses, the fish soup followed by the Supreme of chicken filled... More

First time eating here and certainly won't be the last. Food was superb loads of choice on menu, difficult to know what to choose. I settled for duck salad starter and sea bass for main, my son had same duck starter and lamb for main course. Both mains served with veg , French fries and gorgeous buttery potatoes. Good choice...
