Highly recommended for its architecture and historic charm. The afternoon deal 1200-1700 was a great deal for soup and sandwich for £6.75. It arrived promptly and was a harty scottish broth and cheese and pickle soup which was the best meal I had in aviemore!

Visited for dinner on a Sat evening. There were 5 of us and we were told approx half an hour for a table but it was ready within 15 mins. It was really busy as there was a wedding on but service was quick, food was ok, not v exciting but hot and good sized portions. White chocolate and raspberry... More

Came for dinner with wife and two kids (7 and 6). Have eaten here many times before but not for the last 12 months. Glad to see that the previous high standards of food, service and value remain. Nothing too much trouble, food great and good value as ever. Really hard to see past the Cairn for a decent meal... More

Went for lunch after a ride on the Strathspey Steam Railway opposite. Liked the fact that the bar is for drinking and the dining room for eating. Very efficient staff and service. Had the venison goulash which was excellent. Recommended.

Excellent service and food. Huge choice of dishes and catering for a vegetarian was no bother. Even though they had a wedding on the service was quick and efficient although we were warned that there may be a delay due to the wedding, this never occurred.

My girlfriend and I went to the hotel for dinner whilst on holiday. Decor was lovely, some of the staff were a bit short with us when trying to ask where to go, waiting 40 minutes instead of 30 like we were told but the hotel was very busy. Grabbed a drink each whilst we waited in the lounge which... More

We visited here for a meal on a hen weekend and all I can say was fantastic variety, quantity, price and service were exemplary. We will certainly return and will be recommending it to anyone and everyone. Recommend the ribeye steak and the venison meatballs with linguine mmmmmmmmmmmm

Visited followed high recommendation by our B&B and we were not disappointed. Arrive early - or later - to be sure of a table in this family owed Hotel. Characterful surroundings typical of the area and era; excellent food, reasonably priced. Friendly, welcoming staff. Highly recommended.
