Good old fashioned 1970's British poor service. Don't know how some reviewers have given this place "excellent" ratings: I can only assume that it was the proprietors themselves. The lady who served me coffee never once said "please" or "thank you". The cushion covers on the seats are filthy. The seats on the outside decking are covered from months (perhaps... More

Having driven 2 hours, looking forward to an old favourite of egg and bacon rolls, we arrived just 5 minutes after their 12noon deadline for such culinary delights..! Imagine our disappointment when told we could not have such a simple dish..! Nothing would move the lady from our request, only to be told that we could perhaps find the same... More

I queued for 39 minutes to be served tasteless soup with stale roles. When we complained about the roles we were given other stale roles with a grunt. Don't waste your time or money.

Nice cosy cafe just off the tourist office. Good coffee, nice atmosphere but check out the free wifi. Not working most of the time. Good place to see the reindeer being excercised.

This nice little cafe next to the camp site is located to meet your need for a snack after spending time in the forest. You can also watch the nature show from the windows of all the birds at the feeders and if lucky see a red squirrel eating also. After a winters walk in the forest the freshly made... More

Took my mum here after a walk around the loch and had lovely toasties and hot chocolate. Great prices and friendly staff. The strudel is delish as well and it was good to see it still on the menu as this is a Glenmore staple. It was great to see the birds diving in and out of the feeders. Wish... More

I visit here every year when hill walking and imagine my delight when I found that they have added a dog friendly bar!! I have always made a point of planning a route that either started with a toasting bacon and egg roll or ended with a yummy cake at this quirky little cafe. Its in a great spot with... More

Don't be put off on approach, this is a combination of a shop, paint your own pottery, bar and cafe (amongst other things) so its a wee bit confusing when you arrive. The cafe is small but cosy, the selection isn't huge but it was all we needed and reasonably priced, soup, toasties, filled rolls and cake and coffee. All... More

All we wanted was some light refreshments after a day out. Everything seemed to be too much trouble so we promptly left. A very busy weekend if Aviemore, great vibes everywhere, except for here. We wanted to try somewhere new, but a valuable lesson learned...stick with what you know.
