Situated above the Active Outdoor Sports Shop it has nice picture windows overlooking Strathspey Valley and with views to Cairngorms. Range of local foods, snacks and mountain classics like tartiflette. Coffee seats or tables and chairs inside and out - worth a visit.

Recently discovered this wee gem on the outskirts of Aviemore. Relaxed atmosphere, freshly prepared food, great views and entertaining DVD's playing. Interesting magazines on hand to browse while chillaxing with a latte. Today I had a warm goats cheese bruschetta, daughter had a mozarella, tomato and pesto ciabatta, husband had a cheese and ham panini. All beautifully presented and delicious.... More

Called in at this café on the recommendation of our daughter. She said that the scones were MASSIVE. She was not wrong. Called in just after 11am had tea/coffee and scones. Could not eat anything more until tea time. Do not go in there unless you are hungry.

We went on for a family lunch. Very friendly and the food is good. I asked for something off-menu and it wasn't a problem for them. My mushrooms had been freshly cooked. It was a bit cold though (room temperature). They could have been doing with lighting their wood burning stove!

Lovely visit to active cafe with my baby daughter while waiting for my partner to finish on the slopes. Nice comfy sofas HUGE sandwiches, really good coffee and very relaxed - I was there around 2 hours in the end and no-one batted an eyelid.

This little gem of a café is above the Active outdoor shop on the left hand side just before the main part of Aviemore entering from the south. (Plenty of parking). The bacon rolls and sausage rolls (3 bangers) are super. The whole place had a nice feel about it, possibly helped by large squashy sofas as well as usual... More

Warm welcome from staff and freshly cooked breakfast made it a good start to the day. Free porridge too so can't be bad!

We stopped in for lunch over Christmas. It was very busy but the staff managed very well to serve us quickly. The menu is up on a board rather than being a pre set menu and changes regularly (I know this because we visited again two weeks later the food was so good!!) . There is a good selection of... More

At first glance the venison burger at £8.95 seemed expensive. I chose this with a portion of stornoway black pudding. WOW when it came I was overjoyed. It was 2 venison burgers and 2 rounds of black pudding served on ciabatta bread, side salad, homemade coleslaw and red onion relish. Delicious, but too much for me, 2 people could share... More
