Description: We are a family friendly pub with a relaxed atmosphere, tasty pub grub at reasonable prices and friendly, accommodating staff who are always happy to help. We do not claim to be a restaurant; we're just a wee Scottish pub where you can come and have a real ale, a steak pie, maybe some whisky and relax with your friends or family. At night we have regular entertainment for the grown ups. On Monday you can come in and join our poker league. Wednesday night is the jam session where all the local talent comes along and gives you a show that you can choose to be a part of or to watch. On Thursday night we are home to DJ Gordie and his karaoke, always a good laugh! The week is rounded off on Saturday with the 2hoots nightclub and DJ Dave from 10pm-3am. Come along and give us a try!

After a long day on the hills, this is a great pub to relax in , have a meal and a few beers. I remember going here in Aviemores' heyday and apres-ski was the in thing, the decor is a bit faded and dated now and doesn't quite sit well with karaoke, food is standard pub grub and priced to... More

This "family" pub/restaurant looks the part from the outside, BUT unfortunately as soon as you walk through the door you will realise this is a bad decision!! So we are 2 families; 1 infant, 2 children and 4 adults, from Glasgow who eat out a lot and love Aviemore and everything about Aviemore, HOWEVER this pub is NOT for families!!!... More

i was a little intrigued when my family took me here as it looked tiny from the outside. we have our dog with us as well which i thought would be a problem and we would have to sit outside.... however we were welcomed with open arms, the locals were very nice and would comment on our dog as they... The first good point was we were welcomed in with our wee dog. The staff were friendly and helpful. As a party of 9 the staff coped admirably as it was quiet, the food on the other hand was poor and a waste of money. It didn't help having people smoking outside the open door 10 feet away. All in... Stopped here for a quick bite to eat and a drink whilst visiting friends. Staff were really welcoming and friendly, food was great, steaks were cooked right, and the prices were about the most reasonable in Aviemore, so all good. What's more to say?

We visited The Winking Owl for the first time last year as a large group of 14 when we were on holiday. As such a large group we know it's not ideal but the staff were friendly, accommodating and the food portions were huge. When in the area again we wanted to go back as we enjoyed it so much... More
