Description: We are a family friendly pub with a relaxed atmosphere, tasty pub grub at reasonable prices and friendly, accommodating staff who are always happy to help. We do not claim to be a restaurant; we're just a wee Scottish pub where you can come and have a real ale, a steak pie, maybe some whisky and relax with your friends or family. At night we have regular entertainment for the grown ups. On Monday you can come in and join our poker league. Wednesday night is the jam session where all the local talent comes along and gives you a show that you can choose to be a part of or to watch. On Thursday night we are home to DJ Gordie and his karaoke, always a good laugh! The week is rounded off on Saturday with the 2hoots nightclub and DJ Dave from 10pm-3am. Come along and give us a try!

We found the staff to be friendly at this place and service quick. The food (we ordered fish & scampi & chips) were average, good, but nothing to write home about. The seating is odd here though, the front entryway are lounge seats facing each other and the main dining room had traditional seating but it was way too louddd... More

A weird place. Looks inviting from the road but odd inside. The bar is upstairs, in what feels like a youth club. Service not brilliant and after 3 visits will probably not go back.

I went in here for lunch but after ordering coffee I saw how dirty the wild pub was so just drank the coffee and left. Food dropped on the floor under tables had not been picked up. Dog hair on floor.as another reviewer said, the toilets smell awful. There's a for exit at toilet area too which was locked which... More

We popped in here for a quick drink while wandering around Aviemore. The place was the dirtiest pub I have ever been in. It really stank as well. I went to go downstairs to the toilet, but turned around half way as could stand the smell. I cant believe there was a couple eating in there.... Must have been for... More

Smack heads bar used to be nice but in a deplorable condition now. Don't take your family there, there was a big fat girl who was obviously a local and a regular swearing out loud without even being told off by the barmaid who preferred to spent more time on the pub wifi.

Was attending my brothers wedding in Aviemore on Saturday 9th August so 7 of us decided to go for a few drinks on the Friday night to the Winking Owl. WORST mistake of our lives. I have to be honest and say the older barman (who thought he was Paul Weller I think) was so rude with the comments he... More

There were 9 of us and 3 dogs between us, the only restaurant in aviemore which would take us all. Very relaxed atmosphere, food good sized proportions and standard pricing for Aviemore. The children loved the outside play area and we could see them at all times through windows, which allowed the adults to relax and have a drink. Ample... More

I was really looking forward to visiting again after the fantastic time I had after walking the Lairig gru. Instead of a lovely atmosphere, I had sticky tables, a hotchpotch of differnt styles and ripped furniture. The menu was less than inspired, and to be honest felt like a real dump. Had a quick drink and left.
