Had a lovely vegetarian meal. Very comprehensive menu with lots of choices that I had not had before. Highly recommend.

Went here with my son, had to wait 10 minutes for a table as the restaurant was full. The wait was well worth it had an excellent meal not rushed and well looked after. My son had an excellent Tandori chicken and really enjoyed the atmosphere would recommend good prices good food!

Royal tandoori.......was busy tonight, however we got a table. Maybe now I wish we hadn't. My food was not warm in tempreature and had no spice at all, very greasy not very good. The naan bead was pitiful. The curry my husband ordered wasn't lamb it was chicken! Tasted of raw chilli and quite unpleasant. Paratha was thin and greasy... More

We have been going to Aviemore for years now, but never tried the Royal. I guess it all depends on what you are used to, but we were disappointed. Small portions and the dishes were all very greasy. I ordered a hot dish and the sauce was like a Dhansak with a couple of chillies thrown in to spice it... More

It's been a year since I last reviewed here, and whilst travelling home, we decided on stopping for an Indian. The food hadn't changed; it was still of a very good quality, although my lamb had a large bit of fat on one piece. The curry I had was excellent, with the meat being tender and the spices in the... First time in this resteraunt but it most definately won't be the last. The menu was impressive. My wife was most impressed with her Korma. My Chicken Pathia was delicous as was the Pakora starter. The service was first class and the staff were in fine fettle. There was a nice atmosphere in the resteraunt too. Keep up the good... More

I you want to eat in a dirty over priced restaurant then you'll love this place. I would never ever eat in this dump again. the staff couldn't tell the difference from a Balti and a Dopiatza. Meal for 2 £35. Pictures of the dirt to follow.

Took few friends from India & Dubai. They were so looking forward to eat some Indian food. Was a weekend but not that busy. Waiter who came to take order was not ready listen. Ordered roasted Poppadom - we did get fried poppadom roasted. We got charged for Pickle per head 70p which we gave not seen before. By the... More

We popped in the Royal Tandoori for some food before a long train journey. The menu looked very interesting, with a wide range of dishes - much variety from your standard "Indian fayre". My king prawns were fantastic - and very messy just as the menu described! The rice was perfectly cooked and a joy to eat. The only downside... More

We were three hungry travelers, one vegetarian among us. While we were used to NY and London Indian Cuisine, this restaurant, which was actually Bangladeshi, was a bit different than what we were used to. The Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Saag tasted fresher and a little more exciting than the others we had eaten in our usual habitats. The... More
