Called in for dinner yesterday and received a warm welcome from the staff. By coincidence it was Burns night so obviously had to have Haggis Neaps and Tatties. The food was well presented and delicious to eat. The draft real ale included " Stag "from the local brewery and this washed the Haggis down in style. Our table was right... More

Traditional skiers/walkers bar/restaurant with less traditional food. Good atmosphere. Nice relaxing meal while listening to local musicians.

But not what we expected! It is very nice and the venison was fantastic. Expected to go in and get some pub grub and when we got in and there was only 5 main courses to choose from was slightly disappointed - steak, venison, cod, other fish and a vegetarian option. Not cheap either. But still good non the less

Visited this pub with a group of friends recently and wished very much we had gone elsewhere. This is clearly a local for the locals as the attitude of the bar staff was bordering on hostile. All the members in our group were either in the Hospitality trade or service sector and to receive such poor treatment by the staff... More

Very warm feel with the fireplace and low-ish ceilings. Adjoining restaurant room is very comfortable and the food was excellent. Pub-style food though a clear level above that, hearty but very interesting flavours and great presentation. I had a goats chesse and caramelised onion starter with venison and roast potatoes for main - both delicious and clearly very fresh. My... More

My boyfriend and I went for dinner here on Saturday 17th January. It was our second visit and since our first meal there had been wonderful we decided to go again. We were not disappointed! It was busy but staff did not rush us at all and were friendly and attentive. We had 3 courses each. Soup and salmon to... More

An open fire, a comfortable seat, a hot drink (mulled cider, anyone?) and a good music - what else a weary traveler needs before that last stretch before heading home after a long day outside?

Myself and my colleague were in Aviemore for only one night, so we hoped to try many places out - first up the Old Bridge Inn for some drinks. When arriving (to a friendly welcome indeed) we noticed people eating so opted to see the menu - so very glad we did! Being vegetarian I was used to having only... More

Went for Sunday lunch with my family for pub lunch. Not warm and cosy- most people eating with their jackets and hats on! Childrens pizza was obviously frozen and not home made! Food was luke warm! Small menu but some dishes not available! As we were only people left eating the music was turned up and we could not hear... More

Really great pub. Loved it's laid back feel. Great choice of drinks. Lunch menu (we ate on Hogmanay Lunch) was pricey but excellent food made with local ingredients. Recommended.
