Menu changes every day so you're never quite sure what you are going to get, but what we had was lovely. Not cheap but well worth it. Great relaxed atmosphere - functions well as a local pub (beer also very good) as well as a restaurant. Would recommend and would certainly eat here again if we are back in Aviemore.

We came here for a family meal after a recommendation and we weren't disappointed. The food was fantastic and tasty and they took account of my mums dietary requirements. We'd thoroughly recommend and we'll be back

We came here for dinner on the recommendation of a friend. We skipped starters and went straight for the strathspey fillet steak, it was presented beautifully and cooked to perfection even though my partner likes his steak well done and I like it rare, the steaks arrived at the same time. The bottle of house red was v nice. Our... More

Called in for lunch after a long walk in the cold. Atmosphere was cosy with an open fire and dogs dozing in front of it . after a warming mulled cider the venion Burger was delicious , very tender , Just the place to spend a couple of hours on a chilly afternoon

Up in Aviemore for a mid week break, early December. The bar area is dog-friendly, including the 'Pub Dug', and has an excellent selection of well kept real ales, and whisky. We visitied during the day with the dog and then went back in the evening to eat (sans dug) after booking a table. Superb meal, fresh, well cooked fish,... More

What can I say from when I 1st saw the menu posted on Facebook I wasn't missing this & booked straight away. From the canapés that were served in the bar with one of the best pints in Aviemore, to the food that was served at the table all absolutely amazing. 8 courses of fish all cooked & presented to... Had a really lovely meal - the best gnocchi I have ever had and a great cheese board. There was live music which came on at ten so we could keep our table and listen to the band. Great atmosphere and caters for all age groups.

Not your average pub grub e.g. no chips. However, well cooked food e.g. venison with red cabbage and roasties and beef with clapshot. Friendly staff.
