Food is exceptional but staff need training serving food waiting 20 mins after finishing main course for a dessert menu is unacceptable when it's not that busy !!!!

Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food in this Inn. Relaxed atmosphere, chilled pleasant and friendly staff. Lots and lots of ales, beers and malts as well as my tipple gin. Great music and a real casual but party atmosphere. Menu was exciting and tasted fantastic something for all tastes. I had wood pigeon and pork cheek pure brilliance... More

A free evening during a recent conference gave me, and a large group of colleagues, the opportunity of a meal out! Good reviews of this restaurant had been read on line - a table was booked, and away we went! What a great evening! Within moments of being seated the excellent wine list was looked at, good advice was given... More

Born and raised on meat but have to say, this is undoubtedly the best steak I have ever had....Aberdeen Angus ...omg... Perfection on a plate! Dessert was also probably the best I have ever had....mango jelly bits, lime coconut ice-cream, some honeycomb, some banana...like a plate of tastings on a plate...divine!

We liked that the food on offer appeared to use locally sourced produce, which was expertly prepared and presented. The wine options were good, but not extensive, and it was useful wine was available by the glass. All in all... More

This riverside (well, almost) pub, a five minute walk from Aviemore station, was recommended to us for a bite of lunch when we arrived in town to start a week of walking. We only had a bowl of soup each, but it was so good we immediately booked a table for dinner. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent,... More

My husband and I visited during a weekend break in aviemore with our dog. Many places we tried would not allow the dog in but she was welcome here. The food is lovely, not a huge menu but enough choices for most. The staff are friendly and it was extremely busy during our visit. Unpretentious home cooking. I would go... More
