A God send for dog owners in Aviemore !

My husband and I came to the McDonald resort in Aviemore for a few days with our labradoodle , Henry . As we paid a considerable amount for Henry to stay, we presumed there would be a few bars or eating places which were dog friendly within the resort. However we were somewhat dismayed and... read more

Without a doubt the food produced by the Old Bridge Inn kitchen is top notch and delicious. However, every bite of pleasure is offset by horrendously poor service which unfortunately ruins the overall experience. A recap of the night includes no drink order until after our starters were finished. We therefore downgraded from a bottle of wine to a couple... More

I don't often write reviews but just wanted to share my experience of the Old Bridge Inn. We've just had a family dinner there with my two young daughters and it was great. Such a cosy pub and restaurant, the staff were extremely nice and attentive and were more than happy to accommodate my two fussy daughters needs. It was... More

What an absolute gem of a place, a million miles away from the usual deep fried or cooked from frozen junk that's everywhere in Aviemore. We loved all the local produce on the menu and ended up eating here every night of our stay in Aviemore. Can't recommend this place enough, lots of live music, great food, lovely staff, roaring... We decided to book The Old Bridge Inn for a Valentines Day dinner. The food was fantastic as usual. The venison was tender and delicious and my pudding of crema Catalana was moreish in the extreme. The place was very busy but we had a wee niche by the fire and were two of the happiest and most replete diners... More

We've visited Aviemore so many times, without ever stumbling across the OBI. Yet, it is so conveniently located: on the riverside foot/cycle path, which is through a tunnel off the main street, under the railway line, at the south end of town. It was a cold day when we visited, but the huge coal/log fire was roaring away. It's a... More

We came across this on a walk to Coylumbridge and were so glad to have found it. Lovely homemade soup and bread also delicious wild mushroom risotto in quaint surroundings with a log fire blazing beside us. Fabulous find!

Came here thanks to a recommendation. It looks like any old pub but the food is nothing like your average pub food! I had the fillet of beef which was cooked to perfection and simply melted in the mouth. Served with wholegrain mustard mash and roasted root veg that complemented the beef beautifully! Im so fussy when it comes to... More

Lovely little pub in a nice setting. We had a 5 course meal and it was delicious and we'll presented. As other people have said it is cold in the dining area so we ate in the bar. The bill was quite expensive but the food was worth it.

Food good, well cooked and presented, far too little heat in the restaurant. Supposedly under floor heating. Utterly non existent. A shame really as food is to a higher standard than usual for Aviemore. If you must go stay in the lounge area and bag a table beside the open fire. On point about lack of heating why are the...
