Service was quick and friendly but the food was a bit variable. Some of our party were very pleased with their dishes - the beef was nicely done and one of our party had an excellent cullen skink style starter. However the lemon sole with rice noodles was very bland with just a few little gem lettuce leaves as an... More

We came for a dinner and were really impressed with the food here. It was very creative & delicious!! It is a real fine dine food, instead of pub food. All staff were very friendly. If you are in the area of Aviemore, check this out!

Having checked the place would welcome dogs we were disappointed to be turned away - in sight of the owner's dog comfortably ensconced in the bar- as there were " no bar tables" out and no-one offered to set any up! We'd been anticipating a nice family lunch but the 'welcome' we received was at best off-hand, at worst, dismissive.... More

Fantastic pub. Gastro pub style menu but caters for kids. We visited twice for dinner whilst on our honeymoon, the food was flawless, the beef was outstanding, great pub with a modern feel. Great location, very friendly staff. The chefs are outstanding and clearly know how to cook good food. Be warned- as a sign by the door says, if... More

We were a party of 7 and arranged an early dinner. Without exception everyone emjoyed their food with one of our diners saying that the belly pork was the best he had ever had. High praise indeed. Despite being asked to have a depate time when we booked we went a little over but were unhurried. Thanks very much.

We were staying at Pine Bank Chalets and this pub/restaraunt is virtually next door (and about 5-6 mins walk from the centre of Aviemore). Definately make sure you book a table as you dont want to be disappointed and not eat here. The food was the best we had while on holiday, really gourmet stuff. Of course, the price is... More

The food was fantastic and the staff were friendly and efficient. The restaurant section gets extremely busy so it's a good idea to book, or you should expect to wait for a table. The inn also has regular live music events. Great atmosphere and great food.

Nice little pub by the river, with a sit-ooterie across the road by the river. Ales were tasty. Wifi free and fast. Lots of chatting locals and visitors created a good atmosphere.

We loved this place. Both my partner and I had three courses - all were a very high standard and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is very chilled out and the staff were friendly. Well worth a visit!

Difficult to fault the meal. Each of the four of us enjoyed a different main course. I had the sea bream which is always a good choice. Good selection of real ales, including some from the local Cairngorm Brewery. Service is good.
