We use some of Scotland's best local produce to create healthy, wholesome & interesting food with a Kiwi twist. We opened our doors in 2004 and have been gaining awards and accolades for our antipodean style coffees, delicious breakfasts, superb lunches & fresh home baking ever since. Our service is friendly & casual with a professional team from all over the world. The café offers excellent views of the Cairngorm Mountains - enjoy our balcony area during summer and the cosy log burner to sit by during the winter months. All the pictures are of our food - why not come in and sample our hospitality when you are in the area next?

This is a must, if you are anywhere near

I love this place. I had the smoked fish, celeriac and cider soup. I'm not much of a soup person, but this was sublime. Sandwiches. Hot food. Cakes. Coffee. Mulled wine. Chocolate. This place has it all, and to exceptional standard. I go every time I'm near by (which isn't often enough, as I... read more

So really unfortunate to hit the MCs bad day at the office. No smoothie machine rendering a good part of the drinks menu off limits. Someone was having a smashing time as the coffee machine also went off for repair during our visit. Dear oh dear oh dear. It appears others knew of this plight as for the first visit... More

This has become one of our regular haunts when we are in the area - KJ the chef has built herself a great little business where you can eat healthy without giving up the taste - and then indulge at end with a yummy dessert!

Visited twice, once for after walk coffee and cake and once for breakfast. Amazing choice of cake, something for everyone, and amazing size slice. The rhubarb limeade was a very pleasant surprise. Pancakes with fruit and yoghurt, or bacon and banana were amazing too. Not too much but definitely a full breakfast. It can obviously get busy at peak times... More

We spent the night in Aviemore and went here for breakfast as my friend had been here before. Oh my days. We were lucky enough to arrive between the rushes so got a table with no trouble though would say that any wait is worth it. Gluten-free, vegan, etc options are well marked on the menus and there's even a... More

Went here to get a good vegan breakfast and was not disappointed. What a plateful - kept me going all day. Very busy though even at 9:30 am. Lots of the menu could be adapted for vegans so I was pleased to see this. I would certainly go back to eat here.

Seriously! They make the best cakes in the world in here!! If you are in Aviemore - this is a must. It has a totally unassuming frontage - above an outdoorsy shop, up the stairs. It's always busy so be prepared to join a queue on the stairs - but stay and wait. Don't decide you can't be bothered. You... More

This place is not the fanciest in the world, the food is pretty good, but everyone and their dog loves the beyond rich cakes that they make, they are just amazing, if you want to try but don't want to wait, just walk up the stairs to the takeaway, even if there is a queue on the stairs walk by...
