We use some of Scotland's best local produce to create healthy, wholesome & interesting food with a Kiwi twist. We opened our doors in 2004 and have been gaining awards and accolades for our antipodean style coffees, delicious breakfasts, superb lunches & fresh home baking ever since. Our service is friendly & casual with a professional team from all over the world. The café offers excellent views of the Cairngorm Mountains - enjoy our balcony area during summer and the cosy log burner to sit by during the winter months. All the pictures are of our food - why not come in and sample our hospitality when you are in the area next?

Another 'cake and coffee' stop!!

There was a bit of a wait for a table but when we were seated, the choice of homemade cakes and scones was amazing. A place not to be missed if you are in aviemore! There was an extensive menu for breakfast, lunch and snacks so would suit most visitors. When we left, the queue was right down the... read more

Stopped for lunch with my family. The highchair straps should have been white but were black with dirt, so bad that we didn't want to put them on our child. They look like they haven't been cleaned in moths. It's disgusting to find something so dirty so close to food! Service wasn't awful but wasn't great either. Not exactly fast... More

A delightful breakfast stop after we fell off the sleeper train. The breakfast was delicious and I have to say the best black pudding I have ever eaten. A recommended stop

Had a few nights in Aviemore and stopped off here on the last day for breakfast. It was fantastic. Best breakfast I have had in a long time!! Also a fantastic breakfast menu for kids which my four year old was delighted with. The home bakes looked amazing too. Very friendly and attentive staff. To top it all off, we... More

MC is not bad and does good cakes and has decent views, but the service tends to let it down quite badly. There is little interaction with your server, and what there is is quite brisk, as they squeeze in as many people as quick as they can. Generally you are either left to amuse yourself for long periods, or... More

Stopped here on my way to Inverness. Had a coffee and a piece of shortbread. Nice friendly café but very busy. The views out of the window are breath taking

This is probably the 9th time I've visited the mountain cafe.Winter,Spring ,Summer and Autumn and I can honestly say that everyone who has accompanied me has agreed that the quality of the food is high. Sometimes the service can be slow but this is due to the volume of customers rather than inattentive staff.Negative comments from other reviewers in my... More

Fantastic food and very good service. We had the best scrambled eggs ever here and delicious coffee. It was very busy which shows how good and popular it is.

Second in queue, worth the wait, amazing breakfast. Great start to the day muffin with scrambled eggs and fresh smoked Salmon. Don't stay to long near the counter the cakes will be staring at you. Enjoy.
