No offence to Australians at all but the most out of place thing at Aviemore station is an Australian themed restaurant. It specialises in burgers which are ok but frozen chips let it down badly. Service is just ok. Probably ok for families with kids but not for me.

Like an Aussie TGIs, with a Mexican themed menu, in Scotland... Confused? Who cares? Just really good food, perfect for post walking/climbing/skiing/canoeing/biking/whisky distillery touring activities. Recommend the coconut chicken salad and quesadillas!

Having visited Roo's Leap in Montrose we thought we'd give this one a try on a recent visit to Aviemore. Was really busy so in the high seasons probably best to make a reservation. Staff were really helpful and got us a table within the hour (popped across the road for a drink while we waited). Menu is American diner... More

We visited this restaurant having been out surveying on the A9 all day. We were hungry and thirsty. The restaurant has a good selection of dishes on the menu - all good hearty filling food. The service was excellent, the beer great and the food was just what I needed after a long day in the rain! We will return....... More

Been visiting here for a few years now and have to say the quality has steadily gone down hill, still large enough portions but not as good as it used to be, staff still very friendly

First visit was for lunch - excellent soup and jacket spuds. Service with a smile. Returned for a second visit of evening meal. Good food, something on menu for most palates. Salmon was cooked perfectly, chicken burger was HUGE (and great!), Caribbean chicken was good and the rice made a pleasant change. Service quick and staff pleasant. No hesitation in... More

Not sure if it was connected and I will reiterate that we are not sure that it was connected but all of us felt quite ill after eating here. And our son was throwing up. Nothing seemed awry in the restaurant and the service, etc was fine. The aftermath not so much...

We took the family for lunch, and had a great time. The restaurant is family friendly and there are plenty high chairs. Menu is extensive, and there is a good children's menu. Staff are all very friendly and attentive. Manager Sarah was extremely efficient. We would definitely go back!

Again, an evening meal in Aviemore. We booked ahead of time (thank goodness) and were in and out within an hour. Have to say though, we weren't rushed but were happy to get back to watch the commonwealth games! Have eaten, many years ago at the Montrose Roo's Leap. This was great. I had the Chicken Caesar‘s Salad - what... More
