The restaurant looked good from previous reviews and the website but could not make contact to book a table so assumed that it is closed.

Been many times, both as a couple and taking the office staff. Always good, with friendly staff. Good value for money - try the 2-course lunch special for £6.95 - and before you think otherwise, they do not stint on the helpings. They don't pretend to be trying for a Michelin Star, but you can still expect a good choice... More

The venison casserole is a must, and the liquor coffee - to the managers special recipe - is the nicest I've tasted in 25 years. Excellent value for money, friendly staff. Highly recommended. X

We always make at least one visit (and preferably several!) to the No 55 Bistro on our trips to the Highlands and have never been disappointed. The venison is always cooked to perfection – slowly and with juniper berries – to produce a rich and delicious dish; the salmon is also excellent. Local beers are served from the Cairngorm Brewery... My friend and I had dinner here once and desert three times. Their Banoffie pie is awesome, as well as the sticky pudding. The food was good with reasonable prices and a good beer and wine selection. The staff were very friendly and I was able to use their free wifi. I definitely recommend eating here if you are staying... More
