Nice, cosy, authentic feeling Italian restaurant, good menu with a fairly good variety of choices on it. Great potato skins and very nice fettucini con pollo, with my girlfriend swearing by the penne paesane, and my friend recommending the spaghetti alla cozzi, you really cant go wrong with whatever you select from the menu, very nice restaurant with great, friendly... more

Nice place, the menu hasn't changed in ages but what they do, they do well. Including their dessert, which can be a bit disappointing in Italian restaurants sometimes. Try the affogato! more

Gambrinos on Great Western Road is a satisfying Italian restaurant with beautifully flavoured foccacia bread and decent if predictable pizzas on the menu. Slightly better than the average mid-price Italian, the quality of Gambrinos rarely wavers and I've never found it disappointing or overpriced.
