Situated on the Southside of Glasgow, in the bustling area of Shawlands, join us for a drink, a bite to eat and service that stands out when compared to other pubs and restaurants in the area. If you work, shop or live in the Southside area, then The Waverley Tea Room is here to offer you a great venue for drinking, dining and above all relaxing. We are an excellent venue whether there are just a couple of you, or you are looking for a group booking. With the largest open air terrace and beer garden this side of the Clyde, we are specialists when it comes to al fresco. If the Glasgow weather is a little too fresh for you, then we have our stylish restaurant situated in our glass conservatory, or the cosy interior of the traditional Tea Room, where you can sit, relax and be overwhelmed by our floor to ceiling wine gantry. Whatever the time of day you visit, you'll find a welcome with a smile. From all of us here at The Waverley Tea Room, we look forward to seeing you.

Families Welcome

I visited on the 27th of February straight after work. My missus and two boys(1&8) were already there. On arrival there were several prams and I immediately thought of the carnage inside. I couldn't have been more wrong. I was greeted as I entered by Shellie. She was very welcoming and seemed... read more

Visited 25.02.15 and greeted by a lovely young boy who served me quickly (there were 4 other customers in the bar). The boy, credit to him, gave me some conversation about my night and was generally very pleasant and a credit to the place. Under the impression that the bar was open until midnight (as per the website), we settled... More

So its just a wee local bar/restaurant, the food is pretty standard pub grub, however pretty reasonable and very tasty. Some individual serves as well with pie tins and boards. The standout though was the incredibly friendly staff. looked after us all afternoon and we stayed right into the evening. Will visit again.

Made a booking this afternoon over the phone (by Emma) for this evening for four. Felt like celebrating the Chinese New Year by having a local meal out and was thoroughly impressed. Haven't been inside Ketchup since they moved into the new premises. Wonderful evening experienced by all. Food was gorgeous and service was second to none. Ambience was balanced... More

Initially i enjoyed the food however i feel its been going downhill steadily culminating in one of the worst chicken ceasar salads I've ever had :(. I live locally and spent most of my days off in the summer sitting outside at the Tearooms! I haven't sampled the food since Ketchup's moved so will be checking that out soon. Reasonably priced, locals get a 10% off Locals Card as well which is nice! Staff always polite and efficient.

Won a free kids soft play party through a Facebook competition, turned it into catch up family brunch while the kids literally had the time of their lives. Food was great, service was great, we were there for opening so a little chilly inside but I'm sure the kids never noticed. Beautiful decor and great idea with the soft play... More
