The restaurant was full, and they told us it had to be a "quick meal", right at the beginning. Not very welcoming people. The mushroom risotto tasted awful. But most of all, 10 min to order drinks, 40 min waiting for food. Awful experience

i think that this review is way over the top;i have frequented this restaurant for a great number of years and i find these comments to be absolutely disgraceful. I find osole mio to be the total opposite in every way of the discription by splish splash edinburgh on the 12th sep 2014.this could do great damage to a great... More

After careful indepth consideration, and having cooled down my jets after visiting recently, this joint is a DIVE. In case you think I made a 'typo' I will repeat this place is a disgrace. Let me explain..... Overpriced 'food' - note how I contain the word food in punctuation marks as it can barely passs as being edible. Firstly the... More

It is a little gem- small, with a great atmosphere, family owned , avoids the traps bigger chains have- and the food is great, and great value. It all tastes freshly prepared (unlike those chains) and the staff are charming. Loved it.

We went for the pre theatre dinner, 2 courses for £12.95, It was amazing. My daughter and I had the lasagne, which my daughter will say is the best lasagne she's ever tasted.! And yes -,she was right! We had carrot and coriander soup which was fantastic although I wasn't crazy about the cake style bread. My dad had salmon... More

We booked a table for Saturday night, for a large party, and I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to fit us all in. When we arrived, the table wasn't ready, but we were able to sit outside and wait until it was. The restaurant is small, but the use of space is great - there was another large... More

My partner has fond memories of this restaurant from years ago so we decided to give it a visit. He had talked of a fairly upmarket place with linen table covers, little candles on the tables and great food. Sadly time marches on and places change. It is now more of an Italian fast food place with wipe down tables... More

When I arrived, I was told there was a table for me as the people at the next table had put their coats on it. I told the waitress to ask them to remove these or I would do so, stepping forward. She went back and told me the table was ready. After having the menu I tried to order... More
