Italian gem in the heart of Glasgow

Went here last night (Saturday) with my husband and two sons. Tried to book a table for 6pm but the earliest we could get was 6.30. The restaurant was absolutely buzzing; and although we had booked our table we had wait around until a table became free; thankfully it wasn't too long around 10... read more

Myself and a couple of friends visited here today for lunch, booked via 5pm. We had a 3x course meal along with a glass of Prosecco all the for the small cost of £13.95. I had the Minestrone soup, which was packed with vegetables and very tasty. A friend had the Bruschetta, her normal choice of starter and commented that... More

This is a lovely restaurant with friendly accomodating staff and a tasty and varied menu. The food in La Vita ranges across all tastes and has wine and beer to compliment the dishes you choose. It can be the venue for couple wishing a warm and friendly central location, minutes from Queen Street Statiion and direct onto George Square for... More

Went here for a work's dinner and even though we booked a table for 12 there was not enough room for us all to sit comfortably!! The elbow space was none existant. The food was nicely brought to us and there was some variety, nothing to write home about though sadly. A meal that, apart from there being a real... More

Visited on a Monday h work colleagues. The welcome was friendly and the staff very attentive all evening. The choice was wide and varied. All the starters were given the thumbs up as were the main courses. Only one had a dessert, but again got rave review. The others had nice coffee. The total bill was not so expensive and... More

Stopped here for late lunch early tea and had the 2 courses deal they have to offer for under £10! Because it was so cheap we were expecting for small portions.. Completely wrong, the portion sizes were amazing and very delicious!! Pizzas are massive and everything was so full of flavour! Brilliant staff as well. Can't wait to go back... More

Popped in whilst in town shopping and took advantage of a set price menu. There was a good choice and at £9 for 2 courses. Bruschetta was very nice, mains were pretty average, lasagne and Italian stew. I don't have anything else to add because it was just ok, wouldn't go back for this reason. £5 a pint was a... More

Good meal, restaurant is lovely inside too and staff are very attentive. It's relatively simple Italian food but very very enjoyable! Will return.

We stayed for one night in Glasgow. Whilst exploring we stumbled across this place and decided to dine there that evening - simply because it looked nice and the menu wasn't too expensive. We arrived about 1830hrs and it was busyish but were seated in the Tardis like building upstairs. First impression was that the place was immaculately clean. The... More

I have only been in here once & it was at christmas time. They had clearly overbooked & were under staffed! There was 12 of us and they brought out 8 dinners and by the time they were nearly done they brought out the rest of our's. They done the same with drinks - we all placed the order for... More
