Fantastic little find...

We have visited this restaurant on several occasions and always found it to be a most enjoyable experience. Last visited with my hubby on a 'date night'. From entrance to exit it was truly lovely. For starters we had the pate, (usual high standard) and the 'tian of crab' (refreshing and flavoursome). We both opted for the steak and were... More

The food was perfect and could not be faulted in the slightest and would alone warrant a 5 star rating. The main issues faced were with the staff. All staff members seemed knowledgeable and helpful, however the young girl serving us was awful. Looked unhappy in her job. Had to ask for drinks even though she'd attended the table. It... More

My wie was given £40 of voucher for Mitchells as a birthday present. With kids all busy we decided to take the plunge and booked a table for friday night. Lovely setting in the 'only village in Glasgow'. Plenty of car parking space. Lots of tables outside but far too cold at this time of year. Nice welcoming reception area... More

Was given vouchers as a Xmas present so had to redeem them. Found restaurant a little pretentious with a limited menu both in food and wine but priced outside its offerings. Would not queue up to get in though was given that impression when booking. Would allocate 3 stars.

A very disappointing dinner which was for a family celebration. We have previously had some fantastic family occasions at Mitchell's and sadly this was not the case. Average to poor service and food. Very disappointed in what used to be a great place. Frustrating that a family occasion was spoiled.

Great atmosphere, polite and knowledgeable staff, great food. Pretty hard to fault in any way. Very enjoyable and would definitely visit again.

Just had my Dad's surprise 70th in this charming restaurant. Everything was fantastic - the food, the ambience, the service. Angus and Veronica - the owners - couldn't have been more helpful or hospitable and their attention to detail was excellent! Angus' 'bonhomie' and charm captured the occasion perfectly. Thanks for a wonderful night and a memory we will always... More

We had a small family visit to Mitchells to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. This is the first time we had been here, despite living close-by and I wish we had been sooner! The food was superb - cooked to perfection and the service was fabulous! There was a lovely ambience in lovely surroundings too. Will most definitely be back.

Another superb visit to Mitchells on a Sunday night. THe Sunday menu is fantastic value for money and offers a huge selection, that in itself was a problem just selecting one dish to have! The thai seafood broth is superb and is full of mussels and fish and ver tasty. My steak was superbly cooked to order and large. Terrific.
