Nanakusa sits at the Charing Cross end of Sauchiehall Street, amongst the student bars, burger joints and cheap noodle bars. It stands out as an island of quality in this area, such is the range of very good quality, and well priced Japanese Dishes. Nanakusa's ambience is a delight, well lit by ever changing coloured wall panels and with a... More

I've only eaten in a Japanese Restaurant a few times before so still don't really know what's what. But, I was very impressed with the little restaurant. Its is a modern restaurant in an old traditional building and it really works well. All the staff appeared to be Japanese to me. I like that. They gave me advice on the... More

Not normally my cuisine of choice but tried the restaurant for my partner's taste. Very happy that we did, tasty mixed starters and superb duck, noodles and chillis for me😀 Well worth a visit.

We tried here based on the reviews and pleased to confirm it lived up to the hype. It's pretty cool inside, especially for sauchiehall street. It's informal dining which is nice. The staff are happy to recommend drinks and let you have a taster. We will definitely be back!!

My 60th birthday and 22 people at the table. Service was pretty good and as people arrived over about 20 mins they were served with drinks in a reasonably timely manner. Two of the company had back issues and were brought chairs for their comfort. Food, as always, was excellent and cost is very reasonable

Nanakussa is such a lovely place to go for a meal. The food is always excellent. My friends and I go all the time and between us have pretty much tried everything on the menu, from sushi to steak and it's always great. They recently updated their menu and the new choices are great too. Staff are so friendly and... More

We venture from Edinburgh to Glasgow frequently and this is by far the best sushi place we have encountered so far between the 2 cities. There is a nice ambience about this restaurant and the staff are attentive and friendly. The choice of food is good and I have even visited on an occasion when they were celebrating their anniversary... More
