mediocre food served - slowly

First, I tried calling to book a table because the Merchant City Festival started and thought the place would be busy. 6 long calls, I got no answer. We were successful in getting a table by turning up at the door, so we all arrived and got seated. The menu is all tapas style, so the prices seem... read more

First of all, don't take heed of all the recent negative reviews of this place. The food in Panchos is and always has been great, but the restaurant has always struggled for custom and it's never really found its place. It used to be a great traditional Mexican restaurant (and unique in Glasgow because of this), but it's prices were... More

I have loved and raved to my close friends who had never tried mexican to try Panchos as we have eaten there for 15 years and more (Edinburgh, Stirling). After eating there recently we were so disappointed with the changes they have made as it no longer feels like authentic food. My margarita was served in a wine glass and... More

Went here for a hen do, they told us we could have all of downstairs area. Got here and was placed upstairs with everyone else. Food was okay but portion sizes were very small. Service was terrible one of our group waiting 30 minutes after rest of us. Took forever for drinks also. Left hungry

Too noisy and a bit downmarket, food was ok but there are better places to eat. The wine was reasonably priced though.

Me and my wife decided for a bite to eat here before we went to watch a Vivaldi concert at the city halls. the food was lovely and served tapas style which meant you could have a small taste of a few dishes. Although all the dishes were quite spicy it suited our tastes they werte all delicious. The staff... More

There is nothing to point to at this place. A completely fake Mexican restaurant. Everything on the menu was from the Tesco around the corner. Don't even think to enter this place unless you want to take cover in a rainy day. Just cross the street and you will find more choices there.

Was in with 4 friends and we all walked away feeling very disappointed. Every dish seemed microwaved. Now that it has changed to a tapas styled restaurant you get all your small dishes at the same time so they all should be of roughly the same temperature. My lamb tacos were cold, my cracked crab enchiladas were pipping hot, the... More
