I have dined here many times over the years & previously reviewed here stating it was the best Mexican in Glasgow. It was up there with my other favourite restaurants. Dined here last night as it was our last dining out before we have our baby & an early valentine meal. Also the first restaurant we... read more

This has always been my favourite Mexican Restaurant in Glasgow. Unfortunately the menu has changed to "tapas style" which is a huge change for the worse. There is less choice on the menu and this style of dining doesn't fit with mexican food for me. The portion sizes were too large for tapas and too small for a meal. Although... More

After many years visiting Pancho Villas, was surprised to see a new menu (printed on the place mats) with lower prices for most dishes. Also noted that the quality of the food has improved. Only difference is that side dishes such as rice, sauces and salads now need to be ordered separately from the main courses. Still works out cheaper... More

Now, I love a Mexican, but am often disappointed by the quality of the food – that ‘I can do better at home’ feeling. Well, this was entirely different. The restaurant has just changed its menu – so I don’t know what it was like before. Now they offer ‘tapas’ style bowlfuls – unless you have the Fajitas or a... More

A warm welcome here. Very quiet with only a few tables covered. Warm and cosy inside. served quickly as there were not many diners. Quite a varied menu. I had chicken fajitas. The chicken was dry and there was not enough sauce. I think the chicken had been cooked previously and stored. The chicken is then placed in the fajita... More

Happened to come across this place by chance on Saturday night. It was really busy so I assumed that was a good sign. At first we thought we may not even get a table but our server was very pleasant and managed to find us one downstairs. I can't say I was overly impressed with the food. I chose the... More

Having frequented Pancho Villa a lot when living in Glasgow, when visiting recently we booked. After being seated, the waitress informed us they were out of sour cream and beans (i.e. two staple ingredients of most Mexican dishes). A few minutes later she came back from the kitchen advising they were in fact out of several other ingredients – removing... More
