This was our best dining experience in Scotland. Everything fresh, hot , delightful. We arrived in the early dining hours so did not have to wait long for a table. We had a six year old with us who enjoyed his dish (kebab?) though it was a little spicy for him. Tapas style is a great idea. Careful though, the... More

Always considered this to be one of the best restaurants in Glasgow and I hate to say it, but I was very disappointed in every dish and also the service! The rice was overdone and most of the dishes were very bland? Not what we are used to in this great restaurant. We haven't been in for a while so... More

The only negative thing I'd ever have to say about Mother India is that I often end up eating about twice as much as I intended because everything is so delicious. Small portions mean you can order around 2 dishes per person and try a huge variety if you're in a group.

went here on a sunday evening whilst visiting relatives in Glasgow. I saw the queue at the door and was not put off, I mused that the food must be good if people these days are prepared to queue for it - and I was right. the very varied tapas styled indian food, freshly cooked was amazing, and the fish... I have visited Mother India Cafe monthly since I first moved to Glasgow. Whether it is for sit in or take away I can genuinely say I have never had a bad meal. The staff and management know what they are doing. Worth a visit. The queue moves fast and the feast that awaits inside is worth every minute.

Went with a group of visitors from USA, Trinidad and London...all vegetarian ..they were very impressed with the total experience. We were lucky not to have to queue as the previous visit, and we're seated very quickly. Drinks order was taken after we were settled, and then our orders for food done efficiently. While the group was admiring the surroundings... More

If you like Indian cuisine then you will find a very good selection of light tapas style dishes ideal for lunchtime. My friend and I loved the way we could mix and match and try things that we were not sure about - but enjoyed everything. Great staff too. Just across the road from the wonderful Kelvingrove museum.
