A mixed review with a very happy ending

We initially entered The Den and on asking for a table the waiter turned without speaking and walked towards a table. As we caught up with him he turned away without looking at us or speaking to us and walked off. He returned a minute later dropped two menus on the table in front of us (from... read more

On holiday, we fancied an Indian restaraunt, this was on the way from our hotel to Ashton lane where we like to drink. We realised it was a cafe but gave it a go. The food was surprisingly excellent, the atmoshpere was great and staff very attentative. Yep, we left happy, met another couple at the door and went for... More

We ate at the Mother India restaurant the previous evening and while it was good, the freshness and spicing of the food at the cafe was even better. I particularly enjoyed the paneer and broccoli pakora and the butter chicken was sublime. We shared 4 dishes, 3 chapattis and including a drink each the bill was under £30. Terrific value.... More

Really good selection of food and the quality was even better. I was driving so couldn't have a beer so opted for for a fresh orange and lemonade which was refreshing. Service was really good and waitresses offered advice on what to choose from menu. Going back again soon :):):)

Curries were one of the best I've tried - certainly in Glasgow , love the tapas idea. Mother India is always packed.

What was to have been an enjoyable Sunday lunch turned into a farce. I very rarely write reviews that are anything but positive, however today's experience which was very disappointing indeed, leaves me no choice. This was bad! We waited for the food to arrive - then came the Sunday 'special' - breast of chicken tandoori. What arrived was a... More

Quite Stunning! A veritable taste of India! Again, trip advisors reviews have literally made my brief stay in Glasgow a memorable one. This area appears to be full of fantastic restaurants but this may be amongst the best!
