Very good Indian tapas style dining

It's becoming a bit of a trend to serve smaller sharing plates and Mother India's Cafe does it very well. Also, the price is extremely reasonable! Well worth a visit.

I hadn't been to this restaurant in many years as I moved from living in Glasgow back to my homeland Australia, and this was my first visit in 5 years it still didn't disappoint. My partner and I used to be regulars when we lived in Glasgow. What I like best about this restaurant is the tapas style servings, so... More

Came here before going to see a show in Glasgow. It was really busy even though we arrived quite early. My friend booked the table and I don't often eat Indian food but what we shared here was absolutely delicious. The young waiter was very efficient and friendly too. I will definitely return next time I am in the city.

Arrived on spec, half 7 on a Tuesday evening. Restaurant was very busy but we were shown to a table within minutes. The chatter of the crowd and the clatter of forks on rapidly emptying plates bode well for the meal ahead. A good array of tapas food to be had. Tender chicken, warm sauces and freshly made, crispy samosas.... More

We went for lunch today. Had to wait a while for a table but it was certainly worth it. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We will certainly return.

We have been a few times but took relatives from London to try it and again it did not disappoint. We went on a saturday night and as expected there was a queue to get in but by the time you are seated you know it is all worth it. One person has coeliac but the cafe provided us with... More

We used to live in the area and Mother India's Cafe was one of our favourite Glasgow eating places. Been looking forward to tonight's meal for months and it did not disappoint. Short wait for a table but quick service once we were seated. Food was excellent as it always was. hope we don't have to wait another three years... More

We visited on the 4th of April for my birthday. The manager went out his way to assist us quickly on a very busy Saturday night to get us a seat as my Dad has a slight disability in standing for a long time. The waitresses and the waiters were all very pleasant and professional. The food is outstanding .... More

Just over a year ago, having had a few poor meals I gave this establishment a poor review. I am delighted to say, having eaten here at lunch time, it is back to being top class. In fact the meal was one of the best I've ever had here. Apart from some spicy bread on the special which was awful,... More
