I visited this lovely local with THE boyfriend today. We swept into the delightful ambience of this warmly lit cavern from a freezing cold, windy street, and instantly felt comforted by the gentle manner of the waiters and the spicy scents emanating from the kitchen. The meal was lovely - 2 dishes per person and a side of rice to... More

This place is phenomenal, you can't book though, which might put some people off - I don't care, I love how you have to wait 20/30/60 mins for a table, but all the while it's just building your anticipation up as you smell all the fabulous food pouring out of the kitchen! It's a tapas place, so 4 or 5... More

Myself and my partner go here regularly. It is consistently good. Our favourites are the chicken pakora, lamb saag, chicken achari and chilli prawns with a garlic or peshwari naan. Always delicious. Waiting staff friendly and helpful if you are unsure of dishes. Bad point is you have to queue but good if you decide on last minute curry as... More

This is a tapas style Indian restaurant with a very good reputation. We went on a Wednesday afternoon as every other occasion we have tried the queues were horrendous and decided it wasn't worth the wait. This restaurant does not take bookings. The restaurant has very few covers and as a result the demand makes it more like a production... More

Me and the girlfriend came to Mother India, a place that we normally get great service and an excellent meal, but this time was incredibly disappointing. We turned up at 19:45 and it wasn't terribly busy, we were the first couple ready to be seated and waited 35 minutes (we are aware of waiting for a table so we were... More

Visited late tonight for the first time in a few years, myself and my girlfriend selected 6 dishes in total, all were excellent and cooked to perfection. Food was also served very promptly. The service however was poor. I'm not sure if the two serving early 20s waitresses were just very dour and disinterested or whether they were sneering at... More
