Booked lunch here through 5pm.co.uk for myself,my wife and 14 year old daughter. The deal was £15.50 for three courses and a half bottle of wine per adult. The white wine on offer turned out to be a perfectly decent sauvignon. This is a small intimate restaurant with huge character. Our waitress on the day was outstandingly pleasant, helpful, attentive. She had... More

On a whim whilst passing by we stopped in for lunch. We were greeted immediately and given our choice of seating. The decor is white table cloth with flowers and a most intriguing wall border...gold with an aquarium theme. Interesting art on the walls. Food was excellent. I had a starter of cauliflower and almond soup followed by fillet of... More

My son, who has just relocated to Glasgow, booked this restaurant for our first visit to the city. It was a real treat. The welcome was warm, the menu interesting and tempting and the wine list is creative. The specialty is fish and the scallops with black pudding which I had as a main course were delicious. Large, tender and... More

We went for an impromptu pre-theatre meal on a Friday evening (630) booked thru 5pm. You get a complimentary glass of wine with the 5pm deal. The wine was very nice given the deal. The fish was superb (pollack and halibut) and exceptional value for money. Service was friendly but professional. Atmosphere was cosy. I had been stood (a la... More

Interesting, intimate venue; very attentive and response service. As table d'hote, choice of menu was good and all food was fresh, well cooked and artistically presented. Highly recommended.

Good service in a squashed environment and food very busy.....too much going on which the one plate. In general food was loaded with oil, accompanying the fish dish was veg and potatoes, both drenched in oil. Average food but not for a healthy pallet. Over priced for the food offered. Nice wine.

Went for post-theatre menu at a good price of £13 for 2 courses, £15 for 3 courses. Was a Friday night but the restaurant was pretty quiet, only 3 other tables seated. Both chose mussels to start which, although cooked well and not overdone, were not clean and very gritty which was really unpleasant. A shame as the seabass main... More

Fantastic service - just the right balance of attention and very accomodating on dietary requirements - offering to tailor many dishes to suit rather than the usual one option and you'll be thankful attitude I often receive! Thank you Two Fat Ladies staff! Food is fantastic quality and prepared perfectly. If you haven't been - go!

already a fan, our group of 7 booked Friday evening to celebrate our friends engagement - as the 'troublemaker' she was to ensure she does not eat dairy or wheat, and we had another 3 veggies including 1 non-fish eater! well they surpassed everyone's expectations and the house white chenin blanc was a perfect complement. relaxed service and no hidden... I took my girlfriend here for her birthday, she loves seafood and I've heard good things about the place. She loved her halibut and my steak was one of the nicest I've ever had. For desert we shared the ginger pudding, it was gorgeous, and the waitress put a candle in it. I'm not even sure how she new it... More
