Excellent deal - 3 courses plus aperitif and digestif for £17.50 - and very good food, but there the praise ends. Phony Italian smarm, conveyor belt atmosphere. Tried to ask a simple question about how long we had before we would need to vacate the table, and got so many versions of a smart answer I was on the point... More

Booked a table for 8pm on Saturday. Had to wait (while being squashed near the door). After about 10 minutes of this were given a table. Ordered 2 fillet steaks, waited half a hour, then were served with my parter's steak covered in pepper sauce, (he had asked for a plain one). On complaining were told we could order another... More

My wife and I have had quite a few romantic meals at Piccolo Mondo so we booked a table for my wife's birthday with the ever courteous Leo well in advance, but unfortunately she suddenly took ill the afternoon of the dinner. But having insisted our friends from Inverness and I still attend we arrived an hour early expecting to... More

Over the past few years my wife and I have visited this restaurant for both lunch and dinner and have always found it to be both an enjoyable and pleasant experience. The food is good and fits well to the ambience and standard of friendly and professional service However on our latest visit we did not have a pleasant experience... More

We appreciate your review and the 4 out of 5 stars and the comments on our food and service as we do try our best, although the remark about the hi vi coats next to you we have no control over what our customers do with their coats or jackets, if they do not wish to give them to us... More

If you stay at Hotel Indigo this is just round the corner and it is the cheapest place we ate at but we found the service a bit tardy and the food, while good, was not what years of traveling in Italy lets me call authentic Italian. In summary: a cheap adequate meal

We are disappointed that this is the way you feel, as this is a family run business and we are from Tuscany , depends on which region in Italy you have been as every region is different and we do have the restaurant as authentic as the Tuscan style as possible. More

Were looking for something to eat whilst in Glasgow and loaded up TripAdvisor and came across Piccolo Mondo and most definitely will return! The service was really good and not intrusive and there were lots of things that were on the menu that we'd like to try, so definitely will return in the future!

I had been to Piccolo Mondo several times for business lunches and would never have considered it to be a baby friendly restaurant, but I was delighted to find that I was wrong. My friend had a birthday lunch there recently and we were invited but I was anxious about taking my 9 month daughter with me. I needn't have... More

Dined here with my husband recently - great range of menus, all great value and many including drinks, beautiful surroundings, attentive but unobtrusive service. The wine list is extensive and reasonably priced. I had the tuscan lamb main course, which was really tasty. Despite being a busy Friday night our food arrived promptly and every morsel was a delight. This... More
