The original La Bonne Auberge first opened its doors on Bastille Day in 1975, and it's had something to celebrate ever since. Glasgow's first French-Mediterranean brasserie and Bar, this smart restaurant with its aproned waiters and blackboard menus now has an AA Rosette to confirm what the locals have known all along. Set in the fashionable Theatreland district, this is a feast of Riviera cuisine.

Voucher deal

Visited mid week with my partner using an itison voucher for Steak Hache (fancy burger without a bun). Restaurant is nicely decorated but a little tired looking in parts. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Meal was great, 'burger' was well cooked and was offered a choice of sauces for it. Quite... read more

Although the service is a little slow here, the food is excellent and the staff are professional and friendly. The atmosphere is lovely and the menu is full of great choices.

Went using Tesco coupons but found they had quite a few restrictions. Dinner does not start till 7:30pm, bit late for us. Afternoon tea was not included in the deal so had to settle for lunch. The staff were very good and attentive and the restaurant was very pleasant. The food was good but the cost could mount up as... More

My wife and I visited La Bonne Auberge last Saturday evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had chosen the great value 3-2-1 meal deal that gives you a 3 course dinner for 2 and 1 bottle of house wine all for under £50.00 in one of the best fine dining restaurants in the area. Everything about the whole experience... More

Had an excellent afternoon tea on Saturday Sandwiches were lovely with a small side salad and some potato crisps as garnish. Scones were still warm clotted cream and Strawberry Jam lovely. The selection of cakes were lovely and a perfect size after eating sandwiches and scones nothing left. This is how an afternoon tea should be done. Well done.

Food was very nice but portions not the biggest ideal for first night stay in hotel as convenient. Breakfast was plentiful with loads of choice some items been out a bit too look Haggis and black pudding and were a bit hard. Asked for poached eggs next day and they came with no problems and were nice.

Lovely food & wine, lovely place. Went with a voucher 2 course for £11 & it was worth it. It was a bit pricey though. Thoroughly enjoyed the cheese board complimented with desert wine.
