The original La Bonne Auberge first opened its doors on Bastille Day in 1975, and it's had something to celebrate ever since. Glasgow's first French-Mediterranean brasserie and Bar, this smart restaurant with its aproned waiters and blackboard menus now has an AA Rosette to confirm what the locals have known all along. Set in the fashionable Theatreland district, this is a feast of Riviera cuisine, with dishes including wild mushroom and leek risotto cake with grilled asparagus.

Service was good and restaurant was busy but not noisy so nice to be able to talk although tables are quite close together depending on where you are sitting. Well, it was the choice of Mr & Mrs L this time. "B" was their only criteria. My meal was fine - salmon starter (I could have speared it all on one fork-full), the boeuf bourguignon was tasty enough but lacking in volume. Tunnocks themed ice cream to round it off was nice. Mrs J's starter of the pate was... More

I had lunch at this restaurant using their 'fixed priced' lunch menu. Sevice was good, and the value reasonable. The food was good, but the vegetable content of the main course was minimal, and there should have been more vegetables included for a balanced diet. Wine by the glass was on the expensive side for the quality offered. Overall it... More

Chose to grab a light lunch and were well satisfied with choice of Croque Monsier and Stella Artois. Chatted with strangers whilst awaiting the arrival of friends. Good, relaxed atmosphere with friendly service.

We decided to try the valentines menu at L'Bonne Auberge as we were going to see 50 shades of grey, We have often walked past it and have liked the exterior and wanted to give it a try. We arrived at L'Bonne Auberge around 30 minutes before our allotted time and asked to be sat at the bar - the... More

As the title says. It's right across from The Royal Concert House, couldn't be better! There is a pre-theatre menu available as well as a la carte. Recommended.
