Great food and good value

Whilst from the outside this place may look a bit like a transport cafe with curtains, don't be fooled. We had one of the best meals I've ever eaten here and certainly the best in Glasgow. Food is lovingly prepared using local ingredients, the menu is not extensive but changes frequently and the... read more

We have been twice to this restaurant, on both occasions the food has been really good at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and welcoming, can't really fault it at all.

I visited Fanny Trollope's with my bf for dinner, and it was a very pleasant experience. He had the bread and olives for a starter and for a simple dish it was really tasty and fresh. He also had a lamb main, and said it was spectacular. As a vegetarian I was a little sad that there was only one... More

Went on a Sunday night and we were wonderfully looked after. We asked the waitress to recommend dishes and we more or less let her order for us and she did a first class job. I am a vegetarian and both of my courses were superb, the dishes were certainly not afterthoughts on the menu. My companion's meat options looked... More

Came here one early evening on the back ot TA review and was not disappointed. Arrived shortly after 5pm to take advantage of the pre theatre menu and great selection (I could have eaten everything on it). I opted for the salt and pepper squid rings followed by the beautiful slow cooked ox cheeks. And for £15 without wine great... More

Walked in without booking and luckily a table was available. It's a relaxing, fine dining experience without the pretentiousness - very reasonably priced. 2 starters, 2 mains and 4 bottles of Innis and Gunn for less than £70 is very reasonable given the quality. Great service. Very welcoming and attentive. Will definitely be back.

Stopped here not knowing what to expect... And what fantastic food. Prices are higher end but the taste is simply worth it... If you like great food, visit here.

What a great wee place. Staff, food and ambience excellent. Will definitely return. Plenty of choice. Starter of King prawns with garlic were best I have tasted for a long time. We had gone for pre theatre menu. Great value for money considering quality of food.
