This is a wonderful restaurant. I have dined here three times, bringing different guests and everyone has loved it. It's a small cosy Scottish bistro serving fantastic contemporary cuisine with friendly efficient service. The menu is brief and simple. Starters are excellent. I had a wonderful duck and on another visit tried the pate. Both top notch. For mains the... More

Family visit here on a Friday night. Really enjoyable with good choice menu. Friendly staff and good value for money. The food was a bit different than other places and even was told I was the first to try a new addition to the deserts and would welcome feedback. Not surprisingly it was also very good. The restaurant is not... More

My son booked this for a small group of us when I was over visiting from Ireland. It's a small, intimate premises with a great buzz about it, situated in an up-and-coming (so I'm told) area of Glasgow. I loved the menu. I had the duck starter which was delicious. Our group had the sea bass, steaks and the trout... More

Went to F T on a friend's recommendation. Quite small and intimate. Staff lovely. Food lovely. Had read it was BYO wine which we did. However it turns out they have a licence. No problem. A small £5 corkage fee was charged and that was that. Would definitely go back.

We ate here as a couple on Saturday. I was a little wary following some of the earlier posts but it couldn't have been better. The food was superb, the 2 staff front of house were welcoming friendly & helpful. All in all it was a totally relaxing enjoyable experience which culminated in a very reasonable bill. I wouldn't hesitate... More

This was my first visit to Fanny Trollopes and it wont be my last. I went with some friends for an early meal and didn't know what to expect. The restaurant is small, friendly and busy which is always a good sign with people coming in who hadn't booked looking for a table. The service was excellent, we weren't rushed... More

Enjoyed a lovely meal here on a weekend visit to Glasgow having been encouraged to book by all the other positive reviews. The menu is quite small but still offers good choice and not just the usual run of mill meals - it was difficult to choose which dish I wanted most! Food was very well presented and portions were... I had lunch with friends at Fanny Trollope's in August 2014 We were welcomed by very friendly staff who were polite and helpful throughout the meal. The menu was small but nicely thought out with very different dishes. The food was beautifully presented and served in good time. We were early and probably the second table to be seated but... More

We went last night in a party of 6 for a friends birthday - one slight draw back was the fact I wanted every dish offered, the food was delicious, good portions and beautifully presented - staff attentive but not in your face. Even helped us out with surprise birthday candles and got a rendition of happy birthday too! Fantastic... More
