This was our first visit here (to celebrate a birthday) and we were not disappointed. The exterior is black & green Art Deco and inside is smart with original artwork but the art deco exterior is not really followed through to the interior which is a shame! Service was prompt & efficient - there only seemed to be one server... More

Celebrated my husband's surprise birthday dinner and it lived up to our expectations. Great choice of food and all our friends were very pleased. Fanny Trollope's were extremely accommodating and didn't make us feel unwelcome, as we were the loudest bunch there. They organised a little surprise cake (melt in your mouth brownie). At closing time, when it was quieter... More

In town to catch up with some friends, but its graduation time, so restaurants are very busy. Fanny Trollope's is not usually open on a Monday, but had done so for another party who then let them done - our lucky night as we got to enjoyed some excellent food in a great place which wasn't crammed with diners! The... More

Came here in June 2012 and wrote a 5 * review raving about the food. Two years on, it's fine, but lacking in flair and panache. I guess the chef has changed. Service was ok but not as slick as I remember. Somewhat disappointed with our 2nd visit because our first experience was outstanding. The cooking is fine, as is... More

This is a great little bistro with a lively atmosphere, friendly staff and in a great location for the Hydro and SECC. The food was great quality and well cooked although if I was going to try to find fault the lamb koftas (starter) were a little small. The staff were friendly and the food was served quickly despite the... More

This has to be the best restaurant's in Glasgow. It's not the biggest but the food it stunningly FAB! All 4 of us had food cooked to perfection and even if you have any special dietary requirement they are very happy to accommodate you. It's not expensive either and the portions are just right so you can savor all 3... More

This is a casual restaurant. It is very small, with no more than 30-35 couverts. Food is excellent and service as well. Stuff is very kind and will serve you quickly. Local food with a touch of innovation is served. 3 course menu + water + 1 glass of wine for GBP 32, which, considering the quality, is a very... More

My husband and I went out on a date, the rare occasion of being child free , Fanny Trollope's was just perfect. The food the atmosphere and most of all the service was truly fabulous. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Fanny Trollope's for any occasion.

Brilliant atmosphere, great food and service, what more can you want or say. We ate from the pre-theatre menu and an added bonus was that they put on a Dolly CD as most of the people were on the way to the concert that night. The service and food could not have been better and it was only a 10... More

We wanted to try something new before seeing a show at the Hydro and Fanny Trollope's looked an attractive prospect. We got a late booking, courtesy of a fortuitous cancellation, and were very pleased we did. The restaurant is small and easy to miss if just walking down the street, but it proves the old adage that "all good things... More
