Return visit was even better!

After a work night out at the Dakhin a few months ago, I came back here with my girlfriend to show her how awesome southern Indian food is. I've heard that the Dakhin is the best representation of this cuisine in the country and it completely deserves this reputation. Both the menu and ambience are... read more

I can't say enough good things about this place regarding the quality of food and awesome service. We went twice to this restaurant last week (once for dinner and once for lunch). After experiencing crowded places across Britain with not so great ambiance, this restaurant was fabulous in having tons of space and room to breathe along with the ambiance... More

Didn't look at the menu. Just answered a few questions and the waiter placed our order. Curry is my favourite and this was up there with one of the best and certainly the most unique.

Having been here many times before, I knew that this place was a bit on the expensive side but having enjoyed some very good food here on previous occasions, we were looking forward to a sumptuous meal. Even the fact that the menu had changed and the prices had increased dramatically didn't put us off.... Then the food arrived.... A... More

A year since I was last here and the interior has been remodelled to great advantage. Love the exposed fireplaces! My lunch partner was here especially for the Masai Dosa which did not let her down. I had chicken pieces with a sauce and a small paper dosa. All very well cooked and tasty. Thank you.

Dakhin is an Indian food heaven in Glasgow's city centre. Great food, great value, and always a warm welcome from the team here. Another consistent favourite for friends and work colleagues from India when they are visiting the city. Dakhin is always on the top places to eat for Indian food - wow!

Came here for a big work dinner - there was 14 of us. Menu offers a beautiful selection of Southern Indian dishes, one signature spectacle of which of had to be tried, the metre long dosas! I had an aubergine based dish which was cooked beautifully with incredible subtle flavours hitting throughout. Not overpowering and no heavy bloated feeling afterwards... More

Absolutely delicious food, probably among the best Indian food I've ever had. Very delicately spiced and flavoursome, unlike run of the mill Indian restaurant food. Good advice from the staff. The accompanying bread selection was delicious too, and very unusual. The only thing I would say was that the staff approach was a bit workmanlike, and not very cheerful, but... More

Hi carolr13, Thanks for the 5 star review, it was a pleasure to read! I love this line "probably among the best Indian food I've ever had" - quite a statement, thank you. You hit the nail on the head with the comments about our breads, we use rice flour here which makes our breads very different, ideal for those... More
