South Indian cuisine is really interesting, its definitely different from your run of the mill indian restaurants and that alone is reason enough to visit! Staff are always on hand to make recommendations which is nice, especially if you are willing to give control of your tastebuds to another! I had the vegetarian dosa dish with some extra green chilli,... More

Tried here after previously giving it a miss due to the menu missing some of the typical curry menu items (no naan, no pakora etc) which I sometimes just cant go without when going for a curry, but I was glad I finally gave it a go. The dumpling and croquette starters were a simple but tasty way to start,... More

Dining out at an Indian restaurant often ends in disappointment, not least because it isn't strictly speaking Indian. Moreover, a multitude of spices can hide a multitude of sins where the food served is all very samey. The point of all this is to attest that this restaurant is the real deal. The food is authentically South Indian, so there... More

I can't tell you how excited I was to read that this entire menu was gluten free! Our meal was lovely, something a little different from traditional Indian (I guess because it was southern indian cuisine) a revelation for me! Bit pricey but worth the money, the portions are huge! I was struggling to finish my dumplings.

I've been here twice now and both times I've been blown away by the amazing food and choice in this restaurant. I love the fact that there is so many vegetarian and vegan options and that the menu clearly states what is in the dishes. Literally just an impeccable restaurant!

Business dinner for four. Very different but welcome change to a normal Indian food. Stand out dishes are the prawns and you have to have a Paper Dosa for the table. Waiter made some good suggestions for tasting.

We were visiting Glasgow on a tour of the N E of England and Scotland. My husband spotted Dakhin on the first floor of 89 Candelriggs in Merchant City. The restaurant looked interesting and modern; and whilst we love Indian cuisine, we'd never eaten in a Southern Indian restaurant before. The waiter was very helpful in his recommendations; and we...
