Reasonable and exceptionally fresh

Don't be put off by the exterior. It looks grotty and is down an alley, but it is worth the climb up the stairs / trip in the lift. This is far from your usually chippy and a mile away from the mass produced Harry Ramsdens'. It's not as cheap as a bog standard chippy, but the food is so... read more

Really laid back restaurant for a perfect Scottish fish and chip experience. The staff are quick and attentive. The prices are good especially if you get the fish tea special. A good place to visit if you're new to the uk or want to take someone visiting for a different experience.

I founf this restaurant quite hard to find despite the fact I only work a five minute walk away. the restaurant itself is lovely inside, with brick walls and wooden floors. But I found the food really greasy (ok I Know it's a chippy and everything is deep fried but my fish tasted more of grease than fish)

the service was slow and food was just average. lemon sole was way to well done and spoiled. cod was a bit greasy and the chip where underdone and a bit soggy. more like a mediocre chip shop carryout

Absolutely outstanding fish and chips huge portions at a very reasonable price one cannot ask for more especially after a few pints of satisfying ale.Try and you will go back.

Every time I have visited Glasgow I have meant to try here. I should have done it a long time ago. The lemon sole was fabulous, we had two main courses, side orders and a bottle of wine. We were absolutely stuffed! and the bill only £42. I think I'll be visiting the Chippy every visit from now on.

Used an Itison voucher when visiting here earlier today. It was great value and will be buying again. Anyway - the food - I ordered the Haddock and chips and it was really good , nice crispy batter and lovely chips , not greasy at all . My husband had the cod and he said the same. We did find... Went here our first night in Glasgow. 3 out of the 4 of us ordered fish (each a different kind) and our son ordered the steak pie. Everything was great - haddock was our favourite by far, and we fought to sop up the gravy of our son's pie.

Had the misfortune of eating here this weekend. Waited an eternity to get served and when it did arrive My wife's meal was cold so went back and my battered fish had more batter than fish. Absolutely dreadful. How a place can fail to make such basic dishes like fish and chips especially when that is their speciality is beyond... More

This has got to be the worst "chippie" I have ever had. Chips were good and that is all I can say as far as compliments go. My husband had a cod supper which should have been called a batter supper as there was more batter than fish. I had fish cakes and fish cakes. When it came you could... More
