My friend and I returned to the cabin this week for our second visit to the restaurant this year. Our first visit was around May time and it was pleasant and enjoyable for us to return. We purchased a voucher from an online site and whilst we didn't pay a lot of money we were both very very disappointed. For... More

Use to go here for lunch many many years ago when you got mince and tatties, rolls and sausage and the best scones ever.First of all I phoned constantly for a couple of weeks to try to book but no one answers the phone eventually I got threw.... I went to The Cabin restaurant this evening with my father and grandson and we all loved it! The girl who served us was really pleasant and happily accommodated an eight year olds various requests ( huge bowl of ice cream with chocolate sauce, extra tomato ketchup for his chips). Our starters were very tasty, then I had the lamb... More

We had a discount voucher and tried for two weeks to book. Phone never answered, voicemail messages never returned and e-mails ignored. I was trying to get my money back but decided to make one final attempt-and the phone was answered! The food was good, nothing fancy but without a voucher I think it would be expensive. They do not do... More

I had heard good reviews over the years about this restaurant and my friend wanted to try it out on a special offer deal. However my first observation is that the tables are crammed far too closely together and a single door opening would be draughty on a cold or windy night. Service was done by only one person and... What a surprise this turned out to be. From the outside it looks like your average cafe but once inside the food puts paid to any thoughts of that. We had an excellent three course meal, service was spot on, only one waiter but no problem attending to customers and making sure everyone was satisfied with their meals. Only hiccup... More

Have visited on many occasions and must compliment the new owners with bringing it to life by altering the table lay out.. It still needs slight tweaking but you can see where they are going.

Was at this little restaurant last night with my husband and my sister and brother-in-law. Hubby had won a £50 off voucher in a raffle for the food and as it was my birthday we decided to try it on that occasion. Although I'd read mostly good reviews on here before going I was still apprehensive never having dined there... More

Just back from a fish tea lunch using an itison voucher deal for two. Usually with these deals I need to book in advance but I phone up 45min prior to attending and they were fine with this. Choice of breaded or battered sole so I had breaded and other half had battered. Served with a generous serving of hand... More
