Had eaten here in the past and had fantastic food. What an atrocious experience this time. Arrived with a booked table and just told to sit anywhere not shown to table. 20 minutes before drinks order taken and menu given a further 20 minutes to have drinks and no ice available. 50 minutes after arriving starters served which were nice... The Cabin in Whiteinch has been a stalwart of West End restaurants for many, many years. Unfortunately, it seems that this has just disappeared completely under the new ownership and staff. We are a group of friends who have, for the last 15 years, frequented The Cabin for our annual Christmas Night out. And for the last 14, we have... More

Staff were appalling -when serving us 'Christmas' dinner-we were told we didn't ask for that when we booked! Having visited for more than 20 years we were all shocked at the rudeness and attitude of the staff who completely ruined our experience -we won't be back.

It is difficult to write a review of a restaurant when you haven't been but I felt that I had to share our experience. We had booked the Cabin to celebrate a friend's 70th birthday. I had heard a lot of good reports of the Cabin over the years and was really keen to visit. So you can imagine how... More

Family celebration. Mum wanted to try this venue. She was looking forward to the singer who performs later in the evening and was told by a friend the diners could sing too if they wanted and that venue had a great wee party atmosphere. I arrived first at venue. No welcome. Stood like a lemming while other diners stared until... More

My husband and I were with friends on an Itison deal. We were allowed to choose from the normal al a carte menu and could have anything on menu apart from Beef Wellington which carried a small surcharge -fair enough. The food was delicious as was the wine. The service was quick and the staff were lovely, very friendly and... More

Been here a handful of times. It was a Groupon but that doesn't usually matter at the Cabin. Okay a few problems, if you have a limited winelist offering 5 white wines, 3 of which are Sauvingon, how come when I ask for the most expensive of the 3, you don't have it, then the middle one - same story.... Well, 1st off, Thanks Bob, for your hospitallity, and to your head chef last Thursday eve 27th Nov We were on a groupon deal, and before we go any further we can fully recommend stopping by and tasting their 3 course menu, we hummed and hawed with what to have, not too many choices but very appealing, and that's what... Visited The Cabin for the time. Had read the reviews and was not sure what to expect. Very pleasantly surprised, the food was very good, well presented in a quirky restaurant. My husband and I were on a deal but would have paid full price. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience enhanced by friendly staff and good service.
