The Mussel Inn is one of Glasgow’s première restaurants. Despite the name, our restaurant offers a much wider variety of food than just Scottish West Coast mussels served with our unique and delicious range of sauces. Our seafood dishes also include Creamy Seafood Chowder, Grilled King Scallops and Queen Scallops, Scottish oysters, and our amazing seafood platter (Mini Seafood Platter also available).

Amazing seafood

As the name gives away it is a restaurant that mainly has mussels although there are other things to eat too if you are not that keen. The mussels are quite nice and you can have them in different ways. Price/quality nice.

We walked to the Mussel Inn from our hotel after arriving in Glasgow. We had just endured a horrible travel experience plagued by flight cancellations and delays and were just looking for a pleasant experience to change our luck. We chose wisely! The server was friendly and helpful and the food.....DELICIOUS. We started with the grilled oysters. Having lived in... More

The last time my wife and I came here we were disappointed with the reception we got but decided to give it another go as the menu looked to have upgraded with more choices and a bit of something for non seafood eaters. This time around staff were excellent and I had whitebait starter 3 raw oysters 3 oysters with bacon... 4 of us had Sunday lunch here last week and none had been before. Simple cafe-style décor and furniture but great seafood menu, perfectly timed cooking and great, friendly service. We had scallops, salmon, seafood pasta, and haggis meatballs, sticky date pudding, crème brulee, all first-rate. Now solidly on my list of preferred eateries. Thanks!

Delicious meal yet again. Beautiful scallops, perfectly cooked mussels and complements to the chef- he managed to get my husband to eat broccoli (something I haven't managed in 20yrs)!

Ate here on a busy Saturday night, the place was buzzing, but no delays. Very friendly efficient waitress and delicious food. We had whitebait followed by moules frites. Excellent. Atrractive venue, loved the fishy tiles, slightly noisy.

A Friday night visit for our first time here. Busy bustling cafe atmosphere. Friendly staff. The smells from the open kitchen waft throughout the diner, wetting your appetite for what's to come. We sampled quite a few dishes from the menu. For starters we tried the Grilled queen scallops with black pudding, yellow bell pepper dressing and micro herb, tasted... More

Went for evening meal for our anniversary. I had the surf n turf and my OH had the seafood plater. The food was cooked perfectly and didn't have to wait long for the service even though we had turned up early for our booking. Our waitress was very pleasant and helpful when asked about the food. The restaurant is very... More
