The Mussel Inn is one of Glasgow’s première restaurants. Despite the name, our restaurant offers a much wider variety of food than just Scottish West Coast mussels served with our unique and delicious range of sauces. Our seafood dishes also include Creamy Seafood Chowder, Grilled King Scallops and Queen Scallops, Scottish oysters, and our amazing seafood platter (Mini Seafood Platter also available).

Wasn't disappointed!

I decided to visit the Mussel Inn whilst I was in Glasgow on business having read some good reviews on trip advisor, and I was not disappointed! We nipped in here for a quick dinner before an AWB concert. It was quiet when we arrived but within minutes the place was mobbed on a Friday night in May. It's a light and airy room. Rebecca served us and explained the menu and specials on the board. I couldn't see past the oysters and my wife had the... More

We came this week-end for a dinner. I didn't know this place before. The food was nice, not the best food of the world but nice. My two only critiques are for decoration and prices. When we are entered on the restaurant we had the impression to be on a canteen, it was not really welcoming. And regarding the price... More

Stopped off in Glasgow on way to a weeks holiday in Skye. Was looking for a fish restaurant, and not one that simply serves it with chips and scrapings. Certainly not disappointed. Great starters and then mussels to die for, and yes we did have them with fries! Service was excellent. Waitress attentive and completely at one with what we... More

I've been to the restaurant a very good number of times of the last five years. The food here is almost always very good. The staples such as the Seafood Pasta are lovely. The prices are very decent too. Sadly the last time we visited, the Mussels were very overcooked to the point they were inedible, and the Seafood Pasta... More

My wife and I enjoyed the wonderful seafood chowder, comparable to The No Name in Boston, and mussels in the roasted red pepper and pesto sauce. Both excellent choices plus used a 5£ discount coupon from their web site, mussel-inn.com.

I try to visit every time I'm in Glasgow as the seafood is delicious but also there is a good selection for my partner who is not so keen on seafood. This time on my own I enjoyed whitebait and crab pasta - light in the chilli perfectly prepared to my request. The specials are always worth a look too.

If you like fresh well presented seafood you cannot beat the price and quality. Order crab cakes and scallops to start with to share. Although there is plenty of choice on the menu we seem to always order the mussels because they are so delicious. Available in 1kg and 500 gram portions, the smaller portion is more than adequate with... More

Our first visit to the Mussel Inn on Saturday April 25th, we were seated within a few minutes of our reservation and staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The menu left us spoilt for choice and when the food arrived it was fresh, perfectly prepared and delicious, the puddings were wonderful. There's lots more we want to try... More

Second visit, on a standard snowy Monday evening in 'April' saw me visit this time⛄️ Seafood chowder was of good quality followed by the half kilo of blue cheese mussels, enough for me so watch the kilo option. Decent bottled beer selection smart decor pleasant staff. Will be back to try the fish next visit.
