Description: The Mussel Inn is one of Glasgow’s première restaurants. Despite the name, our restaurant offers a much wider variety of food than just Scottish West Coast mussels served with our unique and delicious range of sauces. Our seafood dishes also include Creamy Seafood Chowder, Grilled King Scallops and Queen Scallops, Scottish oysters, and our amazing seafood platter (Mini Seafood Platter also available).

We came here for lunch and it's definitely excellent value for £7.95 which I had half a kilo of mussels in shallot sauce (there are 5 sauces you can choose from) with chips and a drink.

Somewhere I had selected prior to my Glasgow visit and was certainly not disappointed. Looking through the window I was a little worried as it looked "ordinary"! However, the staff were pleasant and the furniture adequate. The menu was to die for ... really. We decided to have the Stormaway (Shetland) mussels and they were tremendous. Unfortunately, they were fully... More

Fantastic eaterie! A great selection of delicious seafood cooked to perfection. Hot smoked salmon starter was an amazing taste experience, followed by surf and turf and a sharing pot of Moroccan mussels (couldn't resist!). Although specialists in seafood the steak was Perfect and haggis bonbon starter superb! Service could not be better! We were asked to wait only a short... More

I was recently in Glasgow overnight with my wife for a leisure visit and we pre-booked dinner at Mussel Inn beforehand. There was a super deal on at the time with lobster thermidor, which my wife loves. We have visited Mussel Inn on previous occasions and have never been disappointed. This time they excelled and the food was first class.... More

This is a always a very busy place and for good reasons. It is located in the commercial center of Glasgow and it probably can serve over 100 people, mostly locals, in two floors. The decor is modern and rather plain and the place can be noisy and hectic. The fish is just superb, from mussel to crabs and oyster... More

Very different in decor from our firm favourite sister restaurant in Edinburgh, but was Glasgow Mussel Inn as good in quality. Absolutely. Perfectly cooked seafood that fills you right up. You just can't beat their kilo mussel pots and seafood chowder with heaps of fresh bread to mop up the sauce. The style of this restaurant is much more "yuppy... More

Had a fantastic meal in the Mussel Inn, Glasgow. We had amazing oysters and mussels along with some lovely sea bass and scollops. The food and service were both excellent. Thank you all for making our night just perfect.

Went for my father in laws birthday. Had it on a 5pm deal so it was fantastic value. Food was well prepared and portions were great which is particularly impressive given that it was part of a 5pm deal (sometimes I find you get small portions on 5pm menus). Service was also good. Hope street is Central Glasgow so great... More

Popped in on Friday 22nd for lunch. A plate of mussels ( Red Pepper ) / Crusty Bread / Chips + a glass of wine all for £7.95. What more could you want for lunch. Excellent. Been there for lunch quite a few times. Love it.

Nice place with good servers. We had the sea bass which was very good though it seemed that most of the other people there ordered the kilo or half kilo of mussels.
