Description: The Mussel Inn is one of Glasgow’s première restaurants. Despite the name, our restaurant offers a much wider variety of food than just Scottish West Coast mussels served with our unique and delicious range of sauces. Our seafood dishes also include Creamy Seafood Chowder, Grilled King Scallops and Queen Scallops, Scottish oysters, and our amazing seafood platter (Mini Seafood Platter also available).

I recently visited here for my birthday and it was gorgeous. I absolutely love seafood and these mussels are to die for! The service was great and the ambience was lovely. I also enjoyed be able to see the chefs cooking in the kitchen... thats how you know your food is fresh! Will be visiting again.

The food was really lovely. I took some time until we felt comfortable. We did not book a table in advance and were seated in the last corner, where we had a bit the feeling of a cheap take-away with a view to an empty real restaurant. But after the food was served we were happy that we have chosen... More

I only ate here towards the end of my stay in Glasgow or I'd have been back most nights. A casual sort of setting but so popular you have to book. Three of us enjoyed a feast of mussels - truly delicious.

This was our first time in Mussel Inn and we really enjoyed our meal. The service was great and the waiting staff very friendly and efficient. The food was lovely, everything tasted great and the fish was really fresh. There was 3 of us and we had a kilo of mussels between us which was plenty for a starter as... More

For starters we had Scallops and fishcakes. Both very good. The main course was, naturally, mussels. We had both the Moroccan spiced ones and the shallot/white wine/garlic ones and they were both amazing. A lovely, fresh taste of the sea. The deserts were good too, as were the coffees we had. The service was spot on, very pleasant and efficient.... More

The Mussels are consistently excellent. We have eaten at both restaurants in Glasgow and first in Edinburgh on our first vacation to Scotland. My wife likes the garlic and shallot cream sauce and I liked the spicy Moroccan one! The best is dipping a piece of bread in the broth!! Almost heaven! Very good salads as well. We enjoyed both... I've been here during a congress in Glasgow. They seated us even if we did not have a reservation and that was really nice. We orders oysters which were really tasty and fresh, then mussels and scallops. The mussels were also nice but I particularly enjoyed the scallops grilled with herbs. The service is the only thing they should improve... More

I have been to this restaurant at least 5 times and it's my favourite seafood place in Glasgow! Tried every variety of mussels and they are all better than the next (my favourite is Moroccan Spices), as well as variety of their starters and mains! Just lovely! My only criticism is that their chips are really over priced for the... More

On a 3 day visit to Glasgow, we ate here twice! The seafood menu is extensive and reasonably priced, while the seafood itself is very fresh. Try the pot of mussels and crusty French bread to share - there's a choice of 4 different broths. It's hard to beat the white wine and garlic, however!

The inside is a little plain and maybe a bit plasticky but the food was very good. As the name suggests the focus is on the own mussels and other seafood. Both of us had good starters albeit the scallops were a little small - but very tasty. We both opted for mussels for mains and were both delighted -... More
