Description: "In the lively, bohemian Port of Leith, Malmaison Brasserie reigns supreme as a superlative place to meet and eat. The highly chic Art Nouveau French brasserie has sleek, stylish decor and actual port views. The staff are passionate about food, wine and service, and the dining room is lit with that brasserie buzz. Malmaison Executive Chef, Roy Brett has overall direction. What's cooking? Inspiration is taken from great 'French brasserie-style dishes' and further enhanced with a unique contemporary twist. Dishes include char-grilled ribeye with cafe de paris butter and fine beans and salmon fishcake with parsley sauce and buttered spinach. For those of you with a sweet tooth, be sure to try the tarte tartin with creme chantilly. "

Wonderful evening with friends. Food and service both excellent. Staff warm and welcoming. Look forward to our return visit. Thank you to Graham Chalmers and his team for the attention to detail, making the evening special for all.

Stayed at malmaison for a night on a business trip. Good hotel with nice amenities. Ate in the restaurant which was very tasty however a little bit on the expensive side.

East coast Americian style smart fashionable dining. Spacious, with good ambiance, decor etc. Service is good, if not slightly rushed. With that said, the menu - both quality & presentation - is excellent. Well worth a visit for a special evening.

Just had the MOST FANTASTIC meal, I had the crab cappuccino - delicious - as was my wife's crab cocktail - but the main event - John Dory fillets with mussels - curried Sauternes foam and a side of spinach- was absolutely gorgeous - best meal in a long time. BTW - the rooms are very current and up to... More

My wife and I first stayed here on our wedding night. Thoroughly enjoyed the special " Big Yin" suit we were given and the very special treatment that the staff gave to us. That was nearly 9 years ago and we still return on special occasions. Most recently we returned upon my 40th Birthday Cocktails & Great food served by... More

For the princely sum of £20 per head we were treated to a tapas/anti pasti style buffet for starters, waffles bacon and maple syrup for seconds, soup for thirds, roast beaf or chicken and veg for 4ths and the killer puddings to finally finish you off. We were also asked if we would like to visit the buffet for some... More

So let me start this by being clear.... I love a Sunday Brunch! We arrived slightly early for our booking but that wasn't a problem, we were shown to a table where the waitress checked we were happy or if we would rather a different area…. We moved just because we could really! We then had a beautiful semi-private table... More

Lunch today in the Brasserie and one of the most enjoyable I've had in Glasgow. All three courses were delicious, especially the sampler dessert, a wee bit of everything so no will I won't I decision. The kitchen staff are skilled presenting well prepared and seasoned food. The young lady who served at our table was one of the best... More
