Description: "In the lively, bohemian Port of Leith, Malmaison Brasserie reigns supreme as a superlative place to meet and eat. The highly chic Art Nouveau French brasserie has sleek, stylish decor and actual port views. The staff are passionate about food, wine and service, and the dining room is lit with that brasserie buzz. Malmaison Executive Chef, Roy Brett has overall direction. What's cooking? Inspiration is taken from great 'French brasserie-style dishes' and further enhanced with a unique contemporary twist. Dishes include char-grilled ribeye with cafe de paris butter and fine beans and salmon fishcake with parsley sauce and buttered spinach. For those of you with a sweet tooth, be sure to try the tarte tartin with creme chantilly. "

We booked through 5pm.co.uk for a romantic Saturday night meal and we were not disappointed. The chicken parfait and goats cheese salad to start were both delicious, I then had the salmon, which could have done with some lemon on the side as part of the meal as it felt slightly undercooked while my partner had chicken. Service was fabulous,... More

Arranged to meet our daughter in Glasgow & The Malmaison had been recommended by a friend. It did not disappoint! Service attentive, helpful & knowledgable about their food & cocktails. The food was well presented with great imagination. We had to start the tuna tartare with advocado mousse, the chicken liver parfait & the soup of the day followed by... More

We had lunch here before the rugby final for rwick commonwealth games. It really is the biggest lunch in town - buffet style starters lots of salads, fish and meat, you can have a salad made for you - chef did an amazing job with these, omelette or soup, then a main either Sunday brunch or Sunday dinner and dessert.... My husband and I went to Malmaison Brasserie for a 5pm deal. It was brilliant. goats cheese starter was delicious, good choice of mains, dessert was fabulous. A glass of superb champagne - we had a great lunch. Not our first visit (the last time we stayed a couple of nights). Would return again.

Booked a table for 10 (8 adults, 2 children) and was delighted with the service and overall experience. Beautiful restaurant, great location. Staff were attentive and friendly. Childrens' menu was great and the adults choice, although not extensive for this lunchtime deal, had enough choice to satisfy the group I was with. Feta and melon salad was light and refreshing... We visited for Sunday lunch before going to the commonwealth games. I expected it to be very busy but we had booked for 12:00 and only three table were filled for that slot. The amount of food you can have for £19:99 is amazing and there was no way we could eat it all. The help yourself salad buffet with... More

My husband and I had dinner in the Malmaison Brasserie last night and it was a truly faultless experience! This is really saying something because I am an absolute fusspot and a bit of a snob about good service and good food :) It was the first time both of us had been and we had booked using my husband's... On Saturday night I took my sister for dinner to Malmaison in Glasgow, with relatively low expectations. I had eaten at Malmasion in Leeds recently and been distinctly underwhelmed by both the food and service. Saturday night in Glasgow was, however, a very pleasant surprise, and a thoroughly enjoyable evening. I started with Rumbledethump (?) served with a perfectly poached... More

Fantastic, we had the Sunday Brunch, it was fantastic. There was so much food we couldn't eat it all, the atmosphere is lovely and relaxing and overall is a very enjoyable place to dine. Can't wait to go back.

Although its been around for years there is nothing worn or complacent about the Malmaison Brasserie in Glasgow. I met five business acquaintances for lunch and everything, the staff, the surroundings the service and of course the food were all great. When you need quality, value and an experience that won't let you down I would thoroughly recommend this excellent... More
