Always a pleasure to dine under the twinkly lights which adorn "The Chip'. Well prepared food in delightful, relaxed surroundings even if the restaurant has a degree more formality than the Brasserie - it has table cloths! Impressive wine list and a very pleasant and knowledgeable sommelier from Kentucky. Don't worry, there's no buckets of fried chicken here, just good... More

This was a restaurant highly recommended by our tour guide from the previous day. It's located in the trendy Westend section of Glasgow that helps to add to the appeal of the restaurant. It was a bit confusing actually finding the restaurant as there are two separate parts to the business. One section has a multi-level bar come brasserie and... More

Beautiful food. Great service. Extensive wine list and gorgeous setting. Ticked all the boxes for me, be prepared for the bill though as it can work out expensive. Probably a place worth visiting for a special occasion or if money is no object. Worth every penny for me! Great find.

I've heard good things about this place. But I guess having expectations can set you up for disappointment. I thought the food was okay. It definitely doesn't warrant the hype. Wouldn't be back anytime soon.

Came here just after new year, thought it would have been mental over the festive period so I waited. I'm from up north so I have heard all about everything this place has. 2 restaurants and 3 bars. In a cobbled plan. Brilliant! Was a Tuesday day I arrived with my partner. Was just in for a drink but ended... More

We ate at the brasserie, Drinks were a little slow coming to the table but the waiter explained that they come from the downstairs bar, fair enough. We had the Charcuterie platter to start. The platter was a fair size for the price and the quality of the cuts was fine. The only issue I had was the tomato bruchetta... More

From the bar upstairs and a la carte restaurant to the bar downstairs and the tiny "wee chip" bar it's one of those bars that should be on any visitors "must do" list. I m especially fond of the "wee" bar. And it really is teeny tiny. But a great place to hang out and watch the people coming and... More

Visited The Chip with my mum recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. We sat up the stairs where the menu and atmosphere is more relaxed. We shared a platter and bottle of wine which together were very reasonably priced. Both of us don't eat meat but the kitchen were happy enough to substitute an item for something more suitable. The quality... More

Had a post Christmas lunch with friends in the downstairs restaurant last week and it couldn't have been better. The food was delicious, the surroundings beautiful and the service impeccable. My partner and I have now decided to celebrate our anniversary here.

There is a Glasgow expression 'pan loaf' and a lot of people will know what I mean. I refer not so much to the restaurant but some of the clientele. Service lovely, very food good, fun environment but you know.....some of the customers..... It was a Sunday lunch for an 80th birthday and yes we were laughing. We were sniffed... More
