Very enjoyable first visit

Enjoyed dinner at this restaurant a few nights ago with a colleague who works in Glasgow. The decor was very smart and the atmosphere perfect for a relaxing meal. The tables are well spread out so you are not sitting on top of other guests and you do enjoy a reasonable level of privacy... read more

It is a difficult one to rate, I have been there many times and have had 1 to 5 experiences. The last time I ate there it got a 1! This is one of Glasgow's favourite restaurants and bars dating from the early 1970s and is almost an institution. It is in the most student and academic staff saturated part... More

Marvelous food, setting and service. Our table was in the courtyard, and it was lovely. A great example of modern food with a Scottish influence.

Love the Chip, food is always fresh and very well prepared. Flavours are carefully put together to create a memorable dining experience. Good selection of wines. Pricey but very well worth it for a special occasion.

Graduate? Promotion? Get signed? Have some very special clients over from the far east to finalise a massive international 'business' deal? This is just the place for you! Why leave anything to chance on your big day? Just book in, leave your credit card with the waiter and indulge in Michelin accredited goodness. One time I was here I ended... More

We had a lovely meal in the upstairs Brasserie to say farewell to students over on an International study visit to the University. The staff were excellent and the food was delicious.

Fabulous leisurely lunch, delicious meal and great staff. One of our party is gluten free and was absolutely delighted at the options and approach, including freshly baked and tasty bread. This is something very special - Glasgow has many good restaurants but the Chip is another level and we really felt we'd toasted our daughter's achievement in the best place... More

My husband and I chose our favourite Glaswegian restaurant to enjoy our last meal in Scotland before emigrating to Australia . The chip did not disappoint (again) We have eaten meals there on a few occasions through the years including family gatherings , intimate dinners ,xmas eve and a meal with our year old son .I particularly recall how amazing...
