Excellent value for money. Excellent food, wine and service. The "setting" enhances the whole lunch experience.

Just a great kitchen that combines good Scottish produce with classy cooking. So many great dishes on the menu every time. The venison and veggie haggis went down very well with our haggis virgin friends.

Had a fantastic meal at Ubiquitous Chip, the food was excellent and the service was great in this busy restaurant just of Byres Road! Having heard rave reviews from other family members it was my first restaurant choice for a day trip up to glasgow and it didn't disappoint. My husband had the steak and has not stopped complimenting it!... More

7 of us ate here one Saturday in August and for each of us there was one or more changes made to the menu options we picked. This was happily done by the waiter and chef and helped make the experience prefect for us. We all had 3 courses and all of it was beautifully cooked and presented. Very tasty.... More

Booked for 8:30pm as we had the table for the night, we were met and seated quickly. Waiter was excellent and spent time talking to us, I noticed this of many of the staff, if asked a question by the diners they would take the time to converse with them. Very relaxed atmosphere and we really enjoyed the meal, the... More

Although I eat out a few times every week this place was a pleasant surprise. The food was excellent I had the fillet steak cooked to perfection. Although a bit expensive it is worth every penny , the staff were first class and it certainly is the nicest place I have been in I will certainly go back for a... More

We had a great brunch at the U Chip of Scottish veggie breakfasts, teas and coffees. The espresso was fine. It's a huge building with different areas; pub, posh restaurant, ordinary restaurant upstairs which is where we were which is really nice. Well worth finding!

If you want well cooked traditional Scottish food, this is the place. There is the restaurant and Bistro as well as food available in the bar. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant with pleasant surprises. The staff were very friendly and only too pleased to explain items on the menu. There is a varied wine list at prices... More

With only 1 evening in Glasgow, there was no hesitation that our destination would be the restaurant at the Ubiquitous Chip, and we indeed had a very good meal. The staff are friendly and extremely knowledgeable (we followed our waiter's advice and were not disappointed!), and the atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxed but professionally run. We both had the... More
