Was really disappointed.....had meal on tuesday night, had to wait 15/20 mins - which to be fair is normal for here as its so popular! The set meal was jst alright, very basic though ie chickn tikka! The service was very low standard for what normally is second to none! We were practically thrown down our 'apple sorbie', not even... More

Although it was a Monday night, we had to wait a long time between the starter and main course. However, when the main course arrived the portion was huge...too big for one person so we didn't really need to have a starter. The chicken pieces were too big in the dish and not really the best Indian I have ever... More

Mother India serves the best curry I have had in years. Don't be put off by the outside of the building which is very unimpressive step inside. ! I would also advise that you book a table, it seems to get very busy. We happened to be blessed they had a table when we arrived, as we hadn't booked. Service... More

I visited this restaurant on the evening of the 4th July while visiting Glasgow. For a starter I had Vegetable Pakora. For a main meal I had Delhi Style Lamb with a side order of spiced spinach and a plain naan. For drink I had a pint of King Fisher. The food tasted delicious. The portions were on the large... More

Ok this place is consistently brilliant, the food is absolute delish and it must be tried even once to experience indian food quite like no other. Saying that my second favourite or tied favourite is THE SPICE GARDEN (clyde place ) that place just like Mother India produces some of the nicest tastiest authentic indian food you will ever try.... We had a meal with family and close friends last night in celebration of my daughter's graduation. It was absolutely superb !!! Every course was so flavoursome and tasty. The food here is so deliciously fresh and cooked so beautifully with none of the usual over-zealous overdosing of turmeric and cooking oil !! We all had a beautiful meal. Thank... More

I've eaten here 3 times, and most recently was to celebrate our daughter's graduation (having also eaten here when we first dropped her off in 2009). You have to book via the website as it's very popular. The food is more varied than the usual curry selection; I had the king prawns and monk-fish, which was extremely tasty - as... More

I have been to MI three times now, and it has definitely been my most consistently excellent eating-out experience in Glasgow. Menu is medium-sized but the quality of choices makes choosing your meal no easy task. Large, filling servings. Allow bottle corkage, which is always nice. Friendly and knowledgeable waiter. Great experience!

I have not been to many Indian restaurants in my time but I left this establishment with what will be a memorable experience. The menu is a little different from your typical Indian one but the staff are very helpful in recommending the right dish for you. The meal itself was excellent, very tasty and filling. I had the butter... More
