Small menu, big flavour.

Some very interesting dishes here. Can recommend the fish pakora which had a light batter and tender fish inside. It was packed on a tuesday night so I would recomend that you book ahead. The service is a little eclectic but the food soars here.

I went to this restaurant with a party of 9 on the basis we had heard very good reviews. The food was brilliant as expected, but the service was very bad. When the food came out there was a dish missing along with nan beads. We questioned this and they came out a hour later once we had finished the... More

Great little cafe, seating for about 20 and cosey. Drop in and pick up a home dining menu or sit in and enjoy great food and service. Simple lamb curry was fantastic, very tender meat and 'thin' curry gravy but with fantastic flavour. Place was packed so you might want to book. I took advantage of their cook book offer... More

I have visited Mother India's Cafe on numerous occasions with my hubby, parents and kids for lunch. However, my husband decided we should try Mother India on this occasion, as it was just the 2 of us. The veggie Pakora were gorgeous and crispy with a very tasty dipping sauce. The chicken tikka , beetroot dish was really delicious the... More

Terrific food that goes beyond the usual 'sauce and rice' that standard-issue South Asian food, even in the UK, can sometimes become. Not cheap but certainly good value. Family friendly, especially in the downstairs room.

I've been invited to Mother India by friends last year. Being a Friday night and restaurant fully booked, I was bit skeptical about food quality before order arrived, but was disproved when I tasted first bites. My CTM was superb, I tried also butter chicken, great taste, starters were excellent as well. Will not miss in on my next visit... More

Had a really enjoyable meal starters and mains all good - some dishes better than others, but nothing was less than very tasty. Quantities were generous and the service prompt and friendly.

We have been going to Mother India opposite the Art Galleries for many years on our last visit it was not good at all. Service was awful , we watched the staff eating at the payment and small bar area. Food was also poor . In general if it was my first visit there would not have returned . My... More

I was in Glasgow to see Neil Diamond at the Hydro. I was with my sister and her friend. We decided we would have an Indian meal before the show and as we were staying in a hotel on Sauchiehall Street that we would eat local and there was a good selection of Indian Restaurants to choose from. We opted... More
