Mother India is a hidden treasure located in the quieter side of Glasgow's West End. It's an exquisite restaurant offering a range of wholesome Indian dishes. Sunday night, waited as staff mulled over whether there was space for us, not booked, no one else waiting, early evening. Eventually we were shown upstairs and made to feel welcome. Surprisingly there was lots of space and tables were not occupied later. Food was good but after being served no one came near us as staff were more interested... More

We started with the fish pakora and a mushroom and flatbed second dish which were both very tasty. The mains of Chicken curry and butter chicken were of similar... More

We went out last night and went to this place. The place was great with old photos around Glasgow and the service and food was the best Asian food I have ever had.

Three of us came here for dinner. We were hoping for some out of the ordinary Indian food and we were not disappointed. The service was friendly and helpful, The ginger crab and prawn dosa starter was outstanding. The Lamb Mussalum with okra tender and delicious. My companions rated their meals (Masala Dosa, Haddock with puy lentils and lemon, highly... More

You just can't fault this place at anything. Food's great, staff's great, it's not overpriced and maybe apart from the bottom floor - the decor is really nice.

There are many restaurants which claim to be award winning, but Mother India is one such place which truly deserves all accolades laid before it. I regularly visit this delightful place where the staff are very attentive and full of typical Glesga banter. The crab dosa is a must have as is the fish pakora to start. The food in... More

Loved this place! Gorgeous food, reasonably priced, nice staff & good location within walking distance of our hotel. If I wasn't visiting, I would have asked for a doggy bag, couldn't finish everything unfortunately!
