A different class of Indian resturaunt with some of the best food to be found. The butter chicken was the best I have tasted in 20 years of Glasgow dining. First class staff and food. Would highly recommend to all that require something better than your usual curry.

I had a fantastic meal at Mother India. The food was fantastic with a great variety. The service is top-notch as well. The only fault I have is that the menu is a little confusing, I found I had to ask the waiter to explain some dishes and I heard the couple on the next table ask the same question.

We first visited here a couple of years ago and were keen to come back. The restaurant is divided into three areas: there's the cellar, a more conventional dining room on the ground floor and a room reminiscent of a gentleman's club, replete with wooden panelling, on the first floor. We were in the latter and it was nice and... More

It is a basic that any establishment should have a heating system. I know upstairs there is but in the ground floor restaurant there is nothing but cold air and an unprofessional waiting experience from the guyz who believe they are being of service. On an average January night an £8.99 1KW blow heater from Currys stuck on top of... More

We have taken all of your comments on board. We are having problems with our heating system which is being dealt with. We have asked the managers and staff if anyone had issues with the heating or asked to be moved and they said no one had raised these issues. We take great offence to your comments about our staff,... More

Was given gift vouchers for this venue so decided to lunch with friends. Lunch menu was perfect for us the fish pakora was definitely recommended. Two of us had chicken tikka chasni, the other two had garlic lamb & mushrooms. Good portion sizes, tasty food and good service. Two course lunch menu was good value at £11.50 per person. Would... I have had many an Indian meal all over the world: London, Cardiff, Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Beijing, Kyoto, Copenhagen, Marbella, Mumbai (of course), but the food in this restaurant is truly magnificent. With the first bite of curry I was in heaven. In my experience the best Indian I have had in my life so far. As a general... More

Have been in with a friend to grab a quick takeaway! Was surprised how busy the place was, it shows how popular it is! When we got our food I understood why it is: the dishes were absolutely amazing: really fresh and tasty! Like the idea that you can pick up little bits from the fridge and shelves in front... More

was really looking forward to traditional Indian curry , maybe a Madras or Pathia , certainly something of that strength but nothing on the menu even looked like that, we told the waiter what strength we would like and asked him to help us choose, he was polite enough but don't think he was really bothered so we got bog... I dined here alone on a Sunday lunchtime. There were no other customers there and the waiter just looked at me without speaking so I had to ask him if they were open. He seemed distinctly unimpressed that I wanted a table for 1 and seated me silently and practically threw the menus at me. It took ages for him... More

This was my first visit. I have dined at many restaurants in Glasgow and this one was amongst the top that I would recommend. The tables upstairs are better than downstairs . There is a good atmosphere upstairs. For 4 people, as for the round table! The food is delicious. I was a little bit pee'd off with the service... More
