I recently attended a three day conference at the SECC and meticulously planned my dining experiences via TripAdvisor reviews! I've eaten at the Mother India cafe on a previous trip and decided to try the restaurant as it is only about 10 minutes walk from the SECC and I was sick of the sandwich bags there. Great lunch: they have... more
The first taste of Mother India's butter chicken dish sealed it as the best Indian restaurant I've ever eaten at. Never had a butter chicken with flavours even remotely close. Unfortunately live nowhere near Glasgow, much less Scotland, but Mother India will be on the list of places to go when I make a return trip. more

The staff were attentive and friendly. But this was no way, as some reviews have said, the best Indian in Scotland. The Wee Curry Shop is far superior foodwise,... more
Great Indian cuisine in a calm setting. Go during non-peak times, though - this place gets mobbed during the lunch and dinner rushes. more
