Visited here with a friend for an evening meal, my first visit to a predominantly fish restaurant so was a bit pessimistic about whether i would enjoy it or not as I'm a red meat fiend, however needn't have worried as it was delicious! The restaurant itself is small bright and had a cheerful atmosphere, a bit plain in decor... More

Myself and two friends had a very relaxing and enjoyable Saturday lunch at Gamba. One of my friends even brought her 3 month old son and large pram which the staff were more than accommodating with. They made extra room for the pram and brought a bowl of warm water for this milk to be heated up with - they... More

We have eaten now quite a few times in Gamba. The food, atmosphere and service are in my view as good as anything in Glasgow. The lobster Thermidor is succulent and delicious every time and I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. The restaurant is predominantly a fish restaurant which may not be ideal for some however the freshness of... More

I took a senior colleague here for supper the other night. She is relocating to Glasgow from the South and I wanted to show her how good the city's restaurant scene is. And Gamba proved to be the perfect ambassador! From the warmth of the welcome from excellent Maître D, Jim Kerr to the quality of the food and wine,... More

Took my friend to Gamba for pre theatre meal as part of her birthday treat. The staff were so welcoming, friendly, helpful and very knowledgable on the menu! We both chose different dishes for each course( which meant we had taste of six dishes in total), each and every one of the dishes was amazing and all the flavours in... More

Extremely friendly and speedy service! I got my salmon within 10 minutes, the taste was excellent, the dessert a true dream! The staff was very attentive and friendly. Prices are around 30 £ for main and side dish including dessert and an espresso - I'd say absolutely adequate for a superb lunch! I'd go there again anytime.

I went to Gamba with my mum for a special occasion and the whole experience from start to finish was perfect. The food was incredible and the staff were helpful and professional. The best part was that we asked for a little taster of the soup as we wanted other starters but didn't want to miss the soup. They brought... More

whether going for a treat or just out for a meal, this is a great experience. Well received at the door, a relaxed ambience , and great menu choice. Yellowfin tuna to start was fantastic choice and the set the standard Monk fish with scallops and my wife choose the beef option with hand cut chips & veg. Both meals... More

A Saturday evening booking with table booked seamlessly via OpenTable. In a quiet area of city. Can't fault the experience. Great food, excellent cooking and execution - crab starter and whole sea bass were certainly excellent. Bizarrely I might have given 5* but the table we had was that, a table, in back corner of restaurant, great view of room... More

Gamba is without doubt the best restaurant in Glasgow. I ate here on a number of occasions when I lived in Glasgow, and now when I return to visit I always try to eat there - and when I do, I remember what I've been missing since I moved away. The fish soup with prawn dumplings is so delicious that... More
