We first ate in Gamba in 2005 when owned by Alan Tomkins and Derek Marshall. The service went off after Alan sold his interest to Derek. However we went back last evening and while the food was still exceptional the service had improved and was back to almost as good as when Gregor was the Maitre d'. The young waitress... More

Enjoyed a date night meal with my husband tonight. The staff are very pleasant and very attentive. The restaurant is intimate and classy. Food was first class from starters to coffee. A credit to our glasgow restaurants. A must to visit and a definite return !! :-)

Enjoyed Gamba. Nice décor. Although it seemed a bit pricey, they did have a prix fixe menu. The seafood was fresh and well-cooked. It was in a good area surrounded by bars and pubs. Keep in mind it wasn't wheelchair accessible, as there was an outdoor staircase to descend.

As a family we've dined at Gamba on quite a few occasions and it never fails to impress us. On this occasion I was entertaining customers from work. It was their first visit to Scotland so I had to pick a nice restaurant to entertain them. Although my guests spoke good English I was conscious of some restaurants having too... More

The décor in this restaurant has a nautical theme, but is tastefully done. The food and service were both very good.

Gamba is a restaurant we've visited on a number of "special occasions ". It is more expensive than your average restaurant but the service and the quality of the wonderful seafood makes it worthwhile. You are not rushed; there is plenty of space around tables and the staff are very helpful. If you like your fish and/or shell fish this... More

Short walk slightly uphill from George Sq, this basement restaurant is on the left hand side. We had an excellent all fish menu of two courses (although a non fish does appear on the menu). Highly recommended.
