Interesting the mix of reviews of this restuarant. Which concurs with my own experiences of this establishment over a number of years. I've had both lunchs and dinners here and the expression 'hit or miss' is very apt both for quality of food and that of service. I have passed this restaurant many times and always been tempted to make a booking, as the building itself oozes character. Not being familiar with Glasgow, I spent ages trawling the internet looking for a suitable restaurant to eat to celebrate my graduation with my family I ended up booking 78 St Vincent Street. No complaints with either tthe food or the service here however as some of the other reviewers have stated it can lack atmosphere sometimes. If the restaurant is not busy it almost stifles conversation as you feel you are shattering the silence. Tends to be busier Saturday lunchtime though. more
