Lovely Welcoming Restaurant, Good Food As Well

I love going for lunch in the Verona. It's a small intimate family take place. The manager Marco is always very welcoming as are his staff. The lunchtime and pre-theatre menus are a steal and the food is always very good. There is a small but decent wine list as well and it's priced very... read more

We went to Glasgow for few days and because the italin food is our favourite we found this restaurant just few minutes from city centre. Was a fantastic evening from a warm welcome to the end. The manager and his stuff made us to feel excellent. Plenty of choices in the menu and a lovely wine list as well. Highly... More

Recently visited this restaurant with family having booked in advance. I am glad we did as we joined a queue so were able to get a table than having to wait for one to become available. We ate from the pre-thatre menu which had numerous options for each course and whilst the meals are generally smaller compared to the a-la... More

Never been here before and won't be rushing back. Food was just your basic average Italian food. I had chicken wings which were poorly cooked and penne arrabbiata which was pretty bland. Everyone's meals arrived at different times and my garlic bread eventually came once I'd finished my main.

Visited here on Tuesday the 28th April, having booked a table for 4 at this restaurant through 5pm. I have previously eaten here & found the food to be good and at a reasonable price for the city centre. On arrival at the restaurant we were greeted by the manager who offered to take our jackets and asked if we... More

My wife and I have been patronising Verona since it opened. I have previously reviewed it and heaped great praise for the cuisine, value and attentiveness and friendliness of staff. I was somewhat dismayed, recently, to read some adverse comments by one reviewer. I always have to question the motives behind such comments, when, like us, most diners are most... More

Have been to this restaurant a few times and not been disappointed yet. The decor and ambience is very good and with a friendly staff makes for a nice eating experience. The Lunch or Pre-Theatre menu is extensive with a good variety of dishes to suit all tastes. It is also good value for money. Drinks can be a bit... More

decided last minute to visit here, really disappointed at the attitude of the waiter/ manager. Unfriendly, arrogant and generally unwelcoming. Food was nothing great but perhaps the food was over shadowed by the poor customer service. Won't be returning

We passed this place on the bus, and it looked so inviting that we walked back. The décor is trendy and bright. Three courses for under £10? Well, that's what they serve, and it's all good. It was Friday lunchtime, but the service was brisk and friendly, despite the full house. The house red is equally good value, and comes... More

I went to this restaurant for a romantic Friday night dinner with my partner. We were seated at the window which was nice as we could watch people wander past (apart from it being a bit sunny). We booked through 5pm so had a three course meal for £15.95 including a glass on wine. The house white was lovely, so... More
