Great Atmosphere

It was a great atmosphere and the pub supplied food for 400+ guests who were attending a conference here. the food was at a great standard and had a massive choice and good quality considering how many people there were to be served. Its a reasonable price and staff coped very well.

I recently went to Waxy's to play a gig for a friend’s Uni project I live local, as do my friends and they decided that Waxy's would be fantastic to play in and to have a couple of drinks during the week, quite late on. The pub closed at 11pm which was fine and we were quite happy to move... More

Hi Many thanks for your review and for giving me the opportunity to clear up a few if the points raised. Waxy o Connors has many areas that we allow people to use free of charge. Due to the layout of the areas it is not possible for large music session to happen without causing interference to the rest of... More

Recently in Glasgow for a show and went for overnight stay. Had visited Glasgow many times and never been to waxy. We went for lunch and was excellent. Qaulity of food was good and service and bar staff were excellent. Although a big place with several floors was still peace and quiet to eat and privacy to ourselves. Good value... More

Located right next to the hotel at which we were staying, it is gorgeous inside. Very ornate wood carvings, flying overhangs with seating with several levels and several bars. We also ate dinner there and enjoyed the food immensely.

A very comfortable (and cavernous) place is waxy o connors. Love the wood paneled walls and copper topped tables, good music playing too. Enjoy the food too, even if it was only a baguette! Will always consider coming to waxys in future visits to glasgowshire.

Great staff, weird building, I can imagine you'd get lost after a few beers! Not tried the food but have only heard good things, can't wait to return and also can't believe it took me so long to visit this place just on my door step! I can imagine it would be crazy during the football/rugby/on a sat night!

Hi Many thanks for your lovely review. The pub is designed to keep you from leaving us! We are a big rugby pub - offical pub of the Glasgow Warriors - but show all the international and premiership football too. Is does get busy but with 4 screens in 4 areas we are at a great advantage. there is always... More
