Visited 'Waxy's' last Sunday with family for lunch, a couple of drinks and to hear the impromptu live music that goes on there most Sunday afternoons. As it was Burns birthday, thought I'd have the Haggis for lunch. My wife had the Roast Beef Dinner and my daughter and her boyfriend each had a steak sandwich. Quality and value for... More

I went here for some drinks with my boyfriend, The atmosphere of the bar is amazing so idylic looking and beautiful interior. Reminds me of Hogwartz. Location amazing as its right beside Queen Street Train Station. Also ordered Nachos to nibble on and I was pleasently suprised as to how much I enjoyed them that we ended up ordering a... More

Well I have been visiting waxy's now for the past 15 years. Love the decor and tranquillity of this city centre gem. This year I was given a gourmet card by my manager as I too work in the catering industry and gourmet card send free cards out for staff every year. I decided to use it in waxy's and... More

A very quirky pub. Has loads of different bars to choose from. We had a meal which was very nice. Would go again.

We were staying in the Carlton George (which btw was great location and staff), when snow descended on Glasgow. Reluctant to test our urban slippery soles on the streets of grid locked city, we stepped through the secret connecting door to the labyrinth that lies beneath/beside this hotel. We were stunned by the almost theatrical setting! delighted by the friendliness... More

Interesting layout friendly bar staff clean toilets . Doorman antagonistic and treated everyone like drunken scum which as a middle-aged teetotal proffessional from London celebrating with family and friends I found personally disrespectful and insulting. Not a good reflection for tourists in Glasgow ......

Large and very unusual setting with lots of different floors. Live, traditional music playing on one of the floors. Enjoyed the traditional haggis, neeps and tatties dish.

Waxys is a very special pub; im not sure ive ever been anywhere quite like it! The inside structure of the place is something you atleast have to walk through to understand its undescribable all the woodwork and rooms ect. Always packed but somehow manage to get a seat no bother! Its slightly expensive but really what pub isnt! Between... More

Situated very close to Queens Street Station, Waxy O'Conners is ideally situated right in Glasgows City centre. At first this bar come restaurant can be a tad confusing! It's a bit of a maze inside, several levels, several bars and several walkways which link each of the different bars within. Great range of drinks available albeit at City centre prices.... More

Hadn't been here for a while (used to come quite often years ago) then ended up being in here for dinner with friends on a Sunday night. It wasn't busy but around our feet at the table we went to sit at were some shards of broken glass and a pool of liquid that had been caused by an earlier... More
