nice place for a night out.

We've been there just to drink a beer after a friend's suggestion but we ended up having a great dining experience. Great pub interiors and really professional service. Big variety of beers and liquors.

4 of us went here straight off the train and again the following day AND again before we left on the train. The food was perfect every time, the staff were polite and helpful (even though it was busy the 2nd night) and its a very nice place with a great atmosphere. I always stop by when in Glasgow!

Had a nice meal here whilst out with my friend. Food was nicely cooked. Staff were very pleasant. Wasn't expensive and was able to use my taste card. Nice atmosphere also.

We went there on two evenings. One was during a rugby game, therefore the place was packed. However, the atmosphere was vibrant, full of lively, happy Scottish spirit! Loved it! The second night was slower, but still awesome atmosphere thanks to the design of the place and the friendly staff. It is quiet cheap (especially for the city center) &... More

Went there with some friends after a long journey and it was just what we needed to start our weekend away in Glasgow. Great drinks choices (including a suitable whiskey selection), the food was good and the portions were generous. The venue itself was huge, and the the numerous levels and stairs made it quite unique. Highly recommend!

This place has potential, interesting pub (shuts early for city centre) on several levels, lots of tables good for couples or groups however, this is spoilt by the staff. We were greeted by an unfriendly doorman initially however it wasn't just him, the bar men were equally rude. We are not from Glasgow, had had a lovely night out in... More

This place is undoubtably the most expensive Irish bar on the entire west of Scotland plus to be honest there's virtual no atmosphere.

Hi Andy, Many thanks for you comments - it appears we are not the place for your tastes or pocket. We are competitively priced for a city centre bar & in relation to our competitors and we conduct a full survey every 3 months to keep on top of this. Waxy's atmosphere changes from area to area - we have... More

We went here on Monday night , after a long journey up from the South, we are a big fan of waxy's and visit the Manchester venue often. When we arrived at 7.45 it was fairly empty , I ordered some drinks and while we looked at the menu. We have a taste card so I asked if I could... More

Hi Many thanks for your review and your comments. I apologise that you felt that the barman was rude when he advised you of the booking policy for Tastecard use which is clearly communicated on the Tastecard website. We only have a certain allocation of table per day for Tastecard users hence why we recommend booking. The barman was only... More
