Had popped into this little place for a quick bite during lunch hour with a friend. We both ordered baguettes from the menu – mine the humus and roast pepper, while my friend opted for the chicken, bacon and avocado. The smells of coffee and sweet treats and the outside seating on this gorgeous day had assured me we had... More

Place is tiny, cute, and smells great. Beautiful selection of baked goods, but also soup, sandwiches, salads.

Had to attend the Dental Hospital recently and arranged to meet up with a friend who lives in Glasgow in the Vanilla Black Coffee Shop on Sauchiehall Street about 5 minutes stroll from the Dental Hospital next to the McLellan Galleries. Very clean quirky café with different type seating, high and low, also a good varied coffee shop menu of... More

Great little cafe that offers great pastries. The coffee is decent but the fact that the pastries are made in house and not purchased from costcos like most other places makes this the best coffee shop on Sauchiehall street.

I've been in here many times for both a proper lunch and just for a cake and tea. The food (not including cakes) is of average quality, with the presentation being pretty basic but tasting good enough. I've had toasties / paninis here, they were ok but nothing to shout about. This place is best for relaxing with a nice... More

Having been tempted by the sumptuous array of home baking in the window for a couple of months, today I finally succumbed to a meringue and a pot of tea, Vanilla Black style. My first obstacle to a relaxing hedonistic lunch was finding out that they only take cash, cue a mad dash across rainy Sauchiehall St to an atm,... More

I went today and had a lovely pot of tea and a scone. Bargain price and delicious strawberry jam.If I could I would have eaten my way through every single cake on display, they looked lush and were not bought in.The only thing that was a bit testing was the French chansons, but that s just my taste! I ll go... More

Wonderful atmosphere and very sweet food, I especially would recommend the meringues - but all their homemade sweets are beautiful. This cafe is also in convenient reach of other attractions.

Me and dad needed lunch and we were fine with going anywhere. Was walking along sauchiehall looking for a cafe. I prefer independent cafes over big chains like costa but at that moment even costa was fine for a panini- I just wanted a quick lunch! Anyway I passed vanilla black, saw the cakes and immediately stopped dad. Once inside... More

Whilst looking for somewhere for lunch on Sauchihall street we decided to pop into Vanilla Black - somewhere we have passed dozens of times. We were certainly not disappointed! The small cafe has a cosy atmosphere and a wonderful array of food to choose from, including the nicest selection of proper homemade cakes I have seen in any cafe in... More
